Caspian's POV
"Hold. Still."
"—I am holding still, you barbaric mutt—!"
"Then stop thrashing like a dying fish!"
"I am a dying fish—!"
"Yeah? Then congratulations…should I just leave you to die?"
"NO!" Thank god!
I tightened my grip around the witch and kicked harder through the water.
It was endless.
That was the only word for it.
Just water.
Everywhere.
No shore.
No land.
No sign of that ungrateful bastard who decided to kick me off a perfectly good boat.
"…I'm going to kill him," I muttered under my breath, pushing forward again. "Very much! "
"Get in line," the witch snapped, coughing as a wave smacked her in the face. "I will hex his entire bloodline—"
"You're currently drowning," I cut in. "Maybe prioritize breathing first, revenge later."
She sputtered.
Then glared at me.
"Don't tell me what to prioritize, wolf!"
"Then drown with dignity," I shot back. "Less noise."
She smacked my shoulder.
Hard.
"—OW—!"
"Keep swimming!" she barked.
"I am swimming!"
