Chapter 11 The First Encounter with the "Old Man" at the Door "
What should we do?"
Although he hated Ji Wuchang's foul mouth, he couldn't just let him come out naked, could he?
But the problem was, as the Dean of the Martial Soul Department, how could he possibly have freshmen's clothes in his office? He wasn't some kind of clothing fetishist.
"What else can we do? Go to the logistics department and get them. They should still have some spare uniforms there." Zhou Yi shrugged and said helplessly.
"Then..." Du Weilun was about to say something when Zhou Yi interrupted him:
"I'm not going, don't call me."
Zhou Yi refused without hesitation.
Du Weilun was about to speak when he was rejected, and his face immediately darkened.
Damn it, this gossip! Du Weilun was so angry that his nose almost twisted:
"You...you..."
He pointed at Zhou Yi but couldn't say anything. After uttering a few broken words, he disappeared from the office with a gloomy face.
Actually, he didn't care whether Zhou Yi went or not; it wasn't the first time he had gone against her. Ji Wuchang was also going to learn from Zhou Yi. There was no need to pay too much attention to him.
But the problem was... this was his office!
Who in this building hadn't heard Ji Wuchang's loud voice just now? If he really rushed out of his office naked, he'd be in deep trouble!
He didn't want to be mistaken for a gay man!
Although he was over forty and still single, it was because he'd been too busy with work to go on blind dates.
With his status and abilities, countless women were attracted to him! But he had his own pursuits! He wanted to find his true love!
But if he was misunderstood, how could he find a wife?
Du Weiren was an eight-ringed Soul Master, incredibly fast. He reappeared in the office within minutes.
After tossing the white school uniform representing a freshman into the washroom, Du Weiren returned to his office chair and sat down.
Ji Wuchang, having received the clothes, quickly changed and came out. That instant made both Du Weilun and Zhou Yi's eyes light up.
His long, black hair, glistening with water droplets, looked exceptionally smooth, and his skin was as white as a newborn baby's. Add to that his large, bright eyes, handsome features, and the vibrant school uniform—what a handsome... adorable boy!
Yes, Ji Wuchang was almost flawless. Only his somewhat disappointing height significantly increased his appeal.
Why?
If Ji Wuchang were tall and strong, he could be described as a dashing young gentleman, captivating. But that's an appreciation of beauty.
Ji Wuchang wasn't tall, nor was he particularly strong. At least, that wasn't apparent from his appearance. So, this elegant young man had degenerated into an adorable little boy.
Although he had lost his alluring looks, this boyish appearance of Ji Wuchang was clearly more popular.
At least in the eyes of women, especially those older than Ji Wuchang, he was like a cute rabbit, someone they wanted to hold and pamper like their future child! (Probably?)
Of course, all of this depended on Ji Wuchang being able to keep his mouth shut!
"Let's go! I'll take you to the dormitory building now." Zhou Yi didn't intend to stay any longer. Seeing Ji Wuchang come out, she led the way out.
"Oh, okay!" Ji Wuchang nodded quickly.
He didn't dare to be too arrogant now.
"Goodbye, teacher!" Because he didn't know Du Weilun's name, Ji Wuchang could only call him teacher. His first impression of this arrogant teacher was quite good.
Du Weilun nodded and didn't pay any more attention to Ji Wuchang. Ji Wuchang didn't take his attitude seriously and turned to follow Zhou Yi.
"This is the freshman dormitory building."
A moment later, Zhou Yi led Ji Wuchang to a rather large building.
The buildings were divided into four colors: white, yellow, purple, and black, each color representing one building.
Pointing to the white dormitory building, Zhou Yi didn't follow further in:
"That's your dormitory. Here's the key and your freshman badge. You can find it directly inside. I'll have someone bring you a set of school uniforms."
With that, Zhou Yi handed Ji Wuchang a key and a white freshman badge.
"Great!"
Finally, Ji Wuchang was genuinely excited to have entered Shrek Academy.
"Also, because you entered the school late, you'll have a room to yourself. If you have any questions, you can go to room 108 and ask the two people there. Your class monitor and his henchmen are there." Zhou Yi said, squinting.
Class monitor? Class monitor's henchmen?
Ji Wuchang's heart skipped a beat. Zhou Yi must be referring to Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong, right?
"Understood!" Nodding vigorously again, Ji Wuchang rushed towards the dormitory building. Zhou Yi's eyes flashed with something as she turned and left.
Reaching the dormitory building quickly, Ji Wuchang seemed excited. His heart was pounding as he was about to see the two main characters.
Wait! He seemed to have forgotten something!
Mechanically turning his head, he looked at the white-haired old man he had ignored at the door.
Because he had been thinking about Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong, he hadn't noticed the old man's presence.
But as a model young man of the new century, how could he be so impolite?
Ahem!
Ji Wuchang would never admit that he turned around to greet him because he suddenly remembered a scene from Douluo Continent II...
In fact, Huo Yuhao's master, the Limit Douluo Mu En... wasn't he just that white-haired old man dozing off on the recliner outside the freshman dormitory?
"Damn it!" Ji Wuchang felt a chill run down his spine. Would his careless manner leave a bad first impression on the old man?
"Hehe, hello grandpa~ I'm a freshman, can I ask where my dormitory is?" Ji Wuchang asked with an awkward smile.
The white-haired old man turned over, his seemingly cloudy eyes appearing incredibly deep to Ji Wuchang. The old man's gaze fell on Ji Wuchang, and he simply extended his hand normally.
Ji Wuchang tactfully handed over his freshman badge and key.
"Your dormitory is room 110, fifth room on the left on the first floor. The fourth floor and up are girls' dormitories; you can't go up there. If you're caught, you'll be expelled." The old man's voice sounded very hoarse.
"Thank you!" Ji Wuchang bowed to the old man before turning and walking towards the dormitory building.
"Turn left on the first floor, fifth dormitory room. 110? Shrek police, how about that?" Ji Wuchang chuckled.
"Heh~ an interesting child." The white-haired old man at the door muttered, then became drowsy again.
"One, two, three, four... 108?" As he passed the third room, Ji Wuchang suddenly realized. After hesitating for a moment, he decided to knock on the door.
"Knock knock! Is anyone home?"
After waiting for a long time, there was no response. Ji Wuchang guessed that Huo Yuhao must have gone to sell grilled fish.
Since the main character wasn't there, Ji Wuchang had no choice but to walk around again, stopping at the door of the fifth dormitory room.
The door was rusty, looking like it hadn't been lived in for a long time. Inserting the key, it made an unpleasant scraping sound when he turned it.
"I knew they would definitely make things difficult for me." Ji Wuchang was on the verge of tears.
Pushing open the door, a very small dormitory room came into Ji Wuchang's view. He wisely waited a moment before going in. He quickly opened the window, turned on the soul-guided lamp on the ceiling, and began to look around.
Two wooden planks, which looked like beds. Two equally rusty iron wardrobes, and a dirty table.
Fortunately, it was acceptable.
Although he had grown up with a silver spoon in his mouth, Ji Wuchang didn't feel disgusted by this place; after all, he was still a model citizen of the new century.
He quickly switched into "househusband mode," and a neat room was freshly created.
Nodding with satisfaction, he realized that he was the only one in the double room, so he simply removed one of the beds. This freed up a large space.
Then he suddenly realized...
"Damn it! I don't have a blanket!"
"I think I forgot something?" Zhou Yi sneezed, still unable to recall the new blanket he had left in his storage soul-guided device.
...
"Oh well, I'll go buy one."
Lying on the hard bed board was uncomfortable no matter what. Although he was capable of enduring hardship, he wasn't here to suffer. At least he should be able to sleep peacefully, right?
Who knew there wouldn't be a blanket at Shrek Academy? His soul tool only contained a small amount of his hidden stash of money and some other inexplicable items.
In short, no blanket!
"Sigh... my little treasure trove is going to shrink again," he sighed helplessly. When he left, his father had cut off all his allowance, claiming he'd have to ask his wife for it. In reality, he just didn't want Ji Wuchang to run off.
Unfortunately, Ji Wuchang didn't even get to see his wife before running off. Having made up his mind, Ji Wuchang closed the dormitory door and walked out of the dormitory building. He nervously greeted the old man at the gate again, and then, asking for directions, he arrived at the gate of Shrek Academy, which was also the east gate of Shrek City.
He wondered if he'd be lucky enough to run into that young man selling grilled fish.
Upon arriving at the east gate, numerous vendors lined both sides of the avenue. All sorts of things were on display, and business was booming.
He bought a soft and comfortable quilt from a stall for 10 copper soul coins (equivalent to one silver soul coin), along with many other daily necessities.
After storing them in his storage soul tool, Ji Wuchang began to wander around.
Unfortunately, his luck seemed terrible; he wandered for a long time without encountering a grilled fish stall resembling Huo Yuhao's.
"Damn it, how unlucky am I?"
The sky had darkened, and Shrek City was even more beautiful in the evening. But Ji Wuchang had lost all motivation to search for Huo Yuhao.
