I turned my body away from King Nishighi and King Elfhonse who were still standing near the large front door of the mansion. I looked at Eufrien, Alea, and Chalreth for a brief moment before taking my first step. I began to walk away from the main entrance hall because I wanted to go back to my room to rest my tired body after the long horse ride. I moved my feet across the smooth stone floor of the wide corridor. The hallway was very long, and my boots made a steady clicking sound against the hard ground with every single step I took. I walked past the large pillars and the quiet windows that looked out into the dark night. I turned to the left side and walked down another hallway that led to our private living area. The lights on the walls were soft and warm, making the long path look very peaceful. I kept moving forward, lifting my legs slowly because my muscles felt a bit heavy from the traveling. I reached the wooden door of our room. I extended my right hand, grasped the metal handle firmly, and pushed it open.
I stepped inside the warm space and closed the heavy wooden door tightly behind my back to keep the hallway quiet. I looked across the bedroom and saw Salphy and Elphyete right there. They were sitting on the soft bed in the middle of the room, resting together under the small light of the lamp. The room felt very safe and comfortable. As soon as I walked inside, Salphy looked up and saw me standing near the entrance. Her face became very bright with happiness, and she sat up straight on the mattress. I walked over to the side of the bed and sat down slowly on the edge of the mattress to rest my feet. Salphy moved her body closer to me right away, shifting across the blankets until she was sitting right next to my side. She looked into my face with very big eyes, looking extremely excited about something she had learned while I was away on the journey.
Salphy looked at me and suddenly started talking with a very happy voice. Salphy constantly said that Sogha being a prince is cool. She opened her mouth and said, "You being a prince is cool!" I looked at her with a surprised expression because I did not expect her to know about that royal detail so quickly. I smiled a little bit because she looked so happy about it. Salphy moved her body again, crawling across the blankets until she was sitting right on top of my lap. She looked directly into my face from a very close distance and spoke again. I told her that she should try to calm down because the night was getting very late and we needed to rest our bodies. But she did not want to calm down at all. She kept explaining the conversation she had with the ruler, telling me how the king had stood near her and delivered the words. Right after that, she went back to her favorite phrase. I pulled the warm blankets up over our bodies to keep us comfortable because the bedroom was becoming a bit cold as the night went on. I turned off the main lamp on the small side table, leaving only a tiny amount of light coming from the window. We all lay down flat on the soft pillows, stretching our limbs out to prepare for sleep. Even though we were lying down in the dark room, Salphy did not stop her talking for a single moment. She wanted to make sure that I remembered the king's words completely before we fell asleep for the night. Right after explaining it again, she repeated her phrase. The room became completely quiet as the minutes passed by in the dark mansion. She murmured, "King Elfhonse said it to me!" She held onto my arm tightly under the warm covers, refusing to stop until her body completely ran out of energy. Salphy constantly said that Sogha being a prince is cool, doing this until they fell asleep together in the middle of the bed. She gave one final tiny whisper, saying, "You being a prince is cool!" Right after those last words left her mouth, her breathing became very slow, regular, and deep. She had finally fallen asleep completely. My own eyes closed completely as well, and I fell asleep right next to her in the quiet room now today because the long journey was fully finished for us. We rested our warm bodies completely under the thick blankets tonight. The dark room stayed very peaceful as the night went on. We closed our eyes tightly and did not move at all anymore. It was time to sleep after a very long and busy day inside the large mansion here with everyone.
