This bright energy made his physical movements completely different than before. He got even more faster, moving across the ground so quickly that my eyes could barely follow his position. His frame looked like a soft blur under the wall lights as he crossed the room. I held my sword with a tight grip and tried to find a way to strike him. I stepped forward with my right foot and swung my blade in a wide circle aimed at his waist, but I can't even hit him. He moved away from the path of my weapon before the metal could get close to his body. I turned around quickly and tried to throw a fast downward chop toward his right shoulder, but I can't even hit him. He shifted his weight to the side with incredible ease, leaving my sword to slide through the empty air. I adjusted my stance and rushed forward with a straight thrust aimed at his chest, but I can't even hit him. He simply blurred backward onto a new spot on the floor, keeping a safe distance between us. No matter how hard I tried to swing my weapon or change my direction, I can't even hit him because of his new speed.
Since I could not touch his body, Euphyne used his quickness to start a fast physical attack against me. He brought his one sided battle axe down in a direct line aimed at my left arm. He spun his body around rapidly and threw a fast kick with his left leg aimed at my ribs. I pulled my torso back in a hurry, letting his boot pass through the air safely while I just kept dodging. He dropped the heavy head of his axe low and tried a sweeping motion to clear my feet off the ground. I jumped high into the air, letting the sharp metal blade slide harmlessly beneath my boots as I just kept dodging.
When my feet touched the hard floor again, I tried to go on the offense once more. I twisted my wrist and threw a quick backhand slash aimed at his neck, but I can't even hit him. He leaned his upper body backward with total ease, making my sword miss his skin completely. I followed up by dropping low to try a fast cut at his knees, but I can't even hit him. He hopped up lightly into the air, letting my blade pass under his boots without making any contact. I stood back up and tried a rapid combination of three straight jabs toward his torso, but I can't even hit him. He moved his frame left and right like a quiet shadow, and none of my weapon strikes could find a target on his clothes. It felt like I was fighting against the wind because I can't even hit him.
Euphyne used his special speed to launch another wave of physical movements against me. He rushed to my right side and swung his one sided battle axe in a swift upward line toward my chin. I leaned my head back as far as possible, and I just kept dodging. He immediately changed the direction of his weapon and brought it down toward my shoulder. Suddenly a beam of light appeared to my side. The bright streak of hot energy shot out from the empty space right next to my left arm without any warning at all. It was extremely fast and bright as it cut through the air next to my body. I barely dodged it. I twisted my whole frame away at the very last second, feeling the air move from the bright flash, and I barely dodged it. The energy flew past my side and hit the empty space behind me because I barely dodged it. The sudden flash was very dangerous, but I moved my weight away in time and I barely dodged it.
Right after the bright flash disappeared, Euphyne was already moving toward me again with his extreme speed. He did not slow down his physical actions for a single moment, and I just kept dodging his attacks.
