It wasn't because Hidan looked easy to bully that Troy rushed him first.
On the contrary, Troy sensed immense danger coming from Hidan. He wanted to eliminate the biggest threat before his own abilities were fully revealed and understood.
Although he had already decided that his priority was to escape alive, that didn't mean he intended to simply run away blindly—doing that would only wear him down until he was eventually killed.
If he wanted to make his enemies fear him, the best approach was to strike first and seize the initiative!
"Lightning Release: Palm Lightning!"
Brilliant, blinding lightning flared outward.
To onlookers, it seemed as if Troy was using this technique to attack Hidan directly, but in reality, it was merely a distraction—a feint.
He used the loud thunderous sound and dazzling light to mask his true lethal move.
Just as the two massive square shuriken were about to hit Tobi and Sasuke, they suddenly seemed to be pulled by some invisible force. They curved sharply mid-air and began to accelerate rapidly!
Looking at their trajectory, it became clear—their final target was actually the space right behind Hidan!
As a rare user of Magnet Release, Troy's chakra allowed him to magnetize anything he touched. Furthermore, this magnetic property could be transferred from one object to another through contact.
Earlier, when he had deflected Hidan's scythe with his shuriken, he had already magnetized the weapon.
That was exactly why the shuriken, originally thrown toward others, could now fly back in such a bizarre and deadly manner.
The deafening roar of thunder concealed the sound of the heavy blades slicing through the air, and the blinding flashes of light made it hard for Hidan to keep his eyes open.
"Got him!"
A sharp glint flashed in Troy's eyes.
But right at that critical moment, a massive broad sword came spinning through the air. It precisely knocked one of the huge shuriken off course, followed closely by a figure appearing out of nowhere.
Black Flash!
BOOM!
With a heavy impact, the second shuriken was also blasted away.
Only then did Hidan finally notice the danger lurking right behind him.
Truth be told, even if he had been hit, it wouldn't have been fatal for him. But getting sliced to pieces would be both humiliating and incredibly troublesome.
If he wasn't careful, things could actually go very wrong for him.
Of course, the thought of thanking that bastard Shinji never even crossed his mind!
"Tch... sticking your nose where it doesn't belong!"
Hidan clicked his tongue in annoyance, and immediately redirected all his pent-up rage toward the purple-haired ugly man in front of him.
Seriously, how can someone as ugly as you have the nerve to dye your hair this obnoxious shade of purple?!
Troy dodged and defended himself while slowly retreating, his mind remaining perfectly calm and composed.
It was a shame he hadn't managed to kill Hidan with one strike, but luring out the enemy who had been hiding in the shadows this whole time wasn't exactly a total loss either.
He swiftly bit down on the scroll he was holding in his mouth and pulled it open, releasing dozens of regular-sized square shuriken.
Then, like Naruto possessed during his early academy days, he hurled them all out at once, creating a dazzling shower of weapons raining down from above.
The chaotic storm of shuriken completely covered the sky above Hidan, looking exactly like the desperate, reckless move of a cornered amateur.
Even Hidan couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Hey! Are you trying to make me die of laughter? Or do you seriously think these little pieces of metal can kill me?"
"You're pushing me too far! I'll fight you to the death!"
Troy roared as if consumed by rage, but it was just another act. Taking advantage of the distraction, he swiftly moved backward, putting even more distance between them.
The very next moment, the countless shuriken suddenly plummeted downwards with terrifying speed, as if pulled by an invisible force!
Seeing this, Shinji simply waved his hand and instantly formed a six-sided crystal barrier, completely enclosing Hidan inside.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Dozens of shuriken struck the hard surface, making a loud metallic noise, but all of them were deflected harmlessly away.
Having his two consecutive killing moves ruined by the same unseen enemy was starting to make Troy angry.
He took out another scroll and ripped it open. Bang! Three massive square shuriken appeared before him. He held one firmly in his right hand and balanced the other two on his left palm.
"Magnet Release: Magnetization Jutsu!"
Instantly, all three enormous weapons became highly magnetized.
With great force, he hurled them one after another.
Spinning at high speeds, the three giant shuriken flew straight toward Shinji.
Shinji turned around, pulled the Executioner's Blade from where it was embedded in the ground, and stood calmly waiting.
Several days had passed since the sword was snapped in half. Using the blood stored inside "The Thirsting Stomach", Shinji had fully repaired it.
It didn't matter if the blood was toxic or clean—the sword absorbed it all the same.
Klang!
The attack looked terrifying and powerful, but Shinji barely felt any resistance as he deflected all three weapons aside with ease.
However, the moment they were knocked away, the giant shuriken were immediately drawn back by magnetic force, returning straight into Troy's hands, only to be thrown right back at Shinji once more!
Klang!!
Shinji blocked them again with the Executioner's Blade, but this time his expression changed slightly.
He realized that the force and power behind the attack was nearly twice as strong as the first time.
He also noticed that the weapons never actually stopped spinning, nor did they truly touch Troy's hands when they returned.
Instead, Troy caught them mid-air by guiding them in a circular motion with his palms, before instantly pushing them back out again using repulsive force!
And with every cycle, their speed increased drastically!
Klang!!!
This time, Shinji actually took a half-step back under the impact.
He finally looked at Troy with a gaze that held a hint of genuine seriousness.
Although Troy's Magnet Release wasn't quite on the same god-tier level as the Third or Fourth Kazekage, he had developed his own unique style and advantages.
Right now, he was using magnetic force to continuously accelerate the rotation speed of his shuriken. Every time they were retrieved, they gained more momentum and power.
He always used attractive force to pull them back, then guided them in a circular arc before unleashing repulsive force to launch them out again.
After repeating this process several times, as long as the weapons themselves didn't break, their destructive power would keep increasing until eventually, even Shinji wouldn't be able to block them anymore!
Truth be told, Shinji had already figured out exactly how the trick worked by the third time he deflected the attack.
And naturally, he wasn't foolish enough to keep playing along.
Just as Troy was using his magnetic pull to retrieve one of the giant shuriken, Shinji smiled softly and whispered:
"Sleep."
In an instant, Troy was struck by an overwhelming wave of drowsiness he simply couldn't resist. His eyelids grew heavy, and his eyes closed uncontrollably.
Splat!
"AAAAHHHHH!"
The massive shuriken he was trying to pull back sliced right through his outstretched forearm. The intense, searing pain instantly jolted him awake from his stupor, and he let out a bloodcurdling scream of agony.
"You like playing with these things so much? Fine! Have them back!"
Taking advantage of the situation, Shinji picked up one of the giant shuriken that had fallen on the ground earlier and hurled it straight at Troy.
Terrified of getting hurt again, Troy instinctively stretched out his remaining arm, intending to use repulsive force to send the weapon flying far away.
But then Shinji spoke again...
"Confuse."
Who am I?
Where am I?
...What was I trying to do again?
Under the influence of this strange power, Troy suddenly found himself questioning his entire existence.
In that split second of confusion, he completely forgot what he was doing and what he was supposed to do next.
The massive shuriken whistled through the air and neatly sliced off his entire remaining hand!
Ughhh...
The unbearable pain twisted Troy's face into a mask of suffering. He couldn't even scream properly anymore.
See? This is exactly why playing with such dangerous things will get you killed eventually.
