Abigail
I screamed like a banshee. A massive black bug, the size of my thumb, decided the outdoors wasn't enough for it and flew straight into my bedroom and landed on the lampshade.
Yeah, my life pretty much flashed before my eyes. I was standing on the bed and clutching Annette like she was a lifeline with my heart pounding in my throat.
"Kill it! Kill it! Kill it!" I shrieked, my voice cracking. Annette, bless her heart and soul, wasn't screaming but her eyes were wide as saucers and she was clearly freaked out too.
She swatted at the air with a magazine. "Abigail, you literally faced down a gun-wielding psychopath and shot him in the knee, but a bug makes you lose your mind?"
"This is different!" I wailed as the bug took flight again and buzzed menacingly near my head.
"Guns I can handle. Bugs are evil little demons with wings! Demons are bad enough but with wings? Ew!" My sides ached as I flailed my arms in the air.
