Don't look at me. Stop looking at me like that.
I wanted to scream at Finnegan who sat across from me. The table between us was filled with candles and flowers, the climbing roses on the walls filling the air with their scent.
Plates of food, wine glasses and gifts from everyone filled the table. Music drifted in the air as Meemaw and Gramps told ridiculous stories of my childhood and Finnegan eyes were on me.
God, it was so hard to ignore him.
My dress felt tighter, my nipples pushing against the fabric. I arched a brow at him, reaching for my wine glass. His intense emerald eyes dropped to my fingers on the stem of the glass then back up.

A slow song drifted on in the background and Gramps yanked Meemaw off to dance. Jade and Annette joined in, making goofy ass faces.
Finnegan stood up from his seat, his gorgeous body towering above everyone. I held his gaze and my breath when he began walking around the table, towards me.
