Upon being requested, Luke walked over and entered her room.
Looking up, he found the shelf positioned nearly an arm's length above him.
He could reach it, but to actually see what was up there, he would need to pull himself higher.
"Is it near the front?" he asked.
Dalia shook her head. "No, it's tucked in the corner. Do you want me to bring a chair?"
Luke shook his head.
Then, much to her surprise, he suddenly lifted Dalia into his arms, holding her securely by the waist with both hands.
"Go on. Take your time."
For someone who could casually lift thirty kilograms with one hand, carrying her was effortless.
Panicked, Dalia protested, "You'll get tired. Let me bring a chair for you."
Luke sighed. "The time you're wasting talking to me, use it to finish the work."
Dalia groaned in embarrassment at being carried like this. Still, she didn't argue further and reached for the upper shelf.
