Oliver growled, a deep, animal sound that started in his chest and vibrated against my mouth. He tried to hold back, his hands firm on my waist. "Aurora... my bandages... the healers said—"
"I don't care what they said," I snapped, my voice sounding raw and unrecognizable. I grabbed the hem of his loose shirt and yanked it up, my fingers grazing the white gauze covering his ribs. I was wild, driven by a desperate need to erase the world and just feel his touch.
"Fuck, Aurora," he breathed, his resistance snapping like a dry twig. He lifted me off my feet in one smooth motion, slamming me back against the cold, brick wall of the range. The contrast of the freezing stone against my back and his burning skin against my front made me cry out.
He didn't waste time. His hands were everywhere—tearing at my clothes, pulling my top over my head, and unhooking my bra until my breasts spilled out. He groaned, his eyes darkening to a stormy, sea-blue as he stared at me.
