For the first time, Yu Weiwei experienced something he had never felt before.
He could feel the entire planet breathing.
Every mountain, every river, every forest, every creature, and every living plant seemed to exist within his perception, connected by the vast network of spiritual veins.
Then, suddenly, the skies of Sea Sky Planet darkened as clouds gathered like those that appeared before a rainstorm.
Before Yu Weiwei could deduce what was happening, thunder struck, piercing through the ground and towards the planetary core.
At that moment, Yu Weiwei realised what was going on. Sea Sky Planet was undergoing tribulation. It was about to become a conscious being that could take on its own human form.
Yu Weiwei suddenly realised what he had overlooked.
THE HEAVENLY DAO!
Every world had a Heavenly Dao that governed it, or, to be more precise, every planet had one.
Because the interstellar world consisted of countless different planets, and people moved from one planet to another through their own abilities rather than through spiritual means, the Heavenly Dao's rules could not govern them.
So, the Heavenly Daos of the planets in the interstellar world had merged to become one, making it even harder to perceive the existence of the Heavenly Dao here. What made it even more difficult was that, despite their merging, interstellar science could interfere with some of the Heavenly Dao's power, such as the tribulation thunder striking the planet.
The first three tribulation thunders successfully struck the planetary core, which affected Yu Weiwei, who was bound to it, a little. However, the remaining tribulation thunders were deterred by the weather protection surrounding the planet.
Yu Weiwei was glad that the first three had been able to strike the planetary core because the first three tribulations were beneficial to any being undergoing tribulation, while the remaining ones were merely attempts by the Heavenly Dao to erase that existence.
While Yu Weiwei was lost in a daze, a light-blue glow suddenly burst out, and a human figure appeared from within it. The figure was that of a three-year-old child.
Seeing Yu Weiwei lost in a daze, the creature nudged Yu Weiwei's face with its tiny hands as if to greet him.
Yu Weiwei snapped out of his daze and suddenly widened his eyes in disbelief. His spiritual power had merged with this creature, and Yu Weiwei could feel the bond between them—the bond between father and child.
In other words, he had just gained a child, a biological child!
Oblivious to Yu Weiwei's disbelief, the creature completed its transformation. It had white hair just like Yu Weiwei's and blue eyes. Its facial features resembled Yu Weiwei's, but there was also a trace of Lin Zhe's features in its appearance.
Yu Weiwei had inherited his father Lin Zhe's almond-shaped eyes, which were slightly upturned at the corners, giving his delicate features a subtle feline sharpness.
He had also inherited Yu Chen's straight nose and well-defined bridge, though his features had been softened by Lin Zhe's influence.
However, the child in front of him had inherited Lin Zhe's delicate, straight nose with a subtly upturned tip.
"Father."
The creature, now a three-year-old child, called out, and Yu Weiwei froze.
The primordial beast cub, as if sensing something, bared its teeth at the human cub, looking extremely wary.
Yu Weiwei finally unfroze and suddenly burst into laughter, but the two cubs and the serpent felt a chill upon hearing his laughter.
The moment a being became conscious, the first person it saw, or the person who contributed to giving it consciousness, would become its master. However, there was an exception. If the being was fed the master's spiritual power, the master would become its father.
If the master had no intention of having the being become related to them by blood, they could instead feed it spiritual power from Heaven and Earth itself.
However, Lin Zhe could not simply give the planetary core spiritual power.
He was an outsider who did not belong to this world. If he had directly used his own spiritual power to awaken the planetary core, the Heavenly Dao would have immediately detected the foreign aura and attempted to erase the existence before it could fully awaken.
Therefore, Lin Zhe had used another method.
He had used Yu Weiwei's aura.
By the time Lin Zhe began modifying the planetary core, Yu Weiwei had already been born. Lin Zhe had concealed Yu Weiwei's aura within the planetary core, using it to gradually modify and awaken the core without directly exposing his own foreign spiritual power.
This was also why the planetary core had been able to remain dormant for so long.
Lin Zhe had given it the foundation to develop consciousness, but he had never truly awakened it.
The final step had required a spiritual power that belonged to this world.
And when Yu Weiwei's spiritual power was drawn into the planetary core, the connection was completed.
The planetary core naturally recognised Yu Weiwei as its father.
In other words, Lin Zhe hadn't deliberately tricked Yu Weiwei into forming a father-and-child bond with the planetary core.
Yu Weiwei was simply the one who had failed to remain vigilant.
Yu Weiwei sighed and silently apologised to his father in his mind.
To be honest, he had almost cursed him.
He had gone through all that trouble thinking his father had somehow tricked him into becoming the planetary core's father, only to realise that he had essentially walked straight into the trap himself.
Yu Weiwei calmed down and looked at the human cub, who was looking guilty. Although they had a blood relationship, he could feel the connection between himself and the planetary core. He was capable of deciding the life and death of the planetary core, but he had no intention of committing filicide.
Yu Weiwei didn't bother with the human core. Instead, he tried to feel the main body of the planetary core, and he felt as though Sea Sky Planet had become an extension of his body.
He could feel its spiritual energy flowing through the ground and its natural life force spreading through every living creature.
For a brief moment, he almost felt as though he had become the planet itself.
Then, the spiritual energy within the planetary core suddenly began circulating.
A gentle wave of energy spread outward through the spiritual veins.
It reached every corner of Sea Sky Planet.
Every living creature was touched by it.
Yu Weiwei could feel the change immediately.
The energy wasn't directly increasing anyone's cultivation. Instead, it was quietly purifying their bodies, removing accumulated impurities and repairing minor damage caused by exhaustion, age, environmental toxins, and long-term physical strain.
People who had been constantly tired suddenly felt refreshed.
Those who had suffered from minor illnesses or weakness felt their bodies becoming lighter.
The elderly felt warmth spreading through their limbs, and even the animals across the planet became healthier and more energetic.
The plants were affected as well. Their vitality increased, and the spiritual energy within the soil became more stable.
It was as though the entire planet had received a blessing.
Yu Weiwei could feel every change.
After experiencing this transformation, Yu Weiwei suddenly realised something.
No matter what kind of Heavenly Dao it was, there was one thing it could never tolerate: an outsider who did not belong to its world.
If the Heavenly Dao discovered the presence of such an existence, it would use every means available to eliminate that foreign existence.
That meant Lin Zhe could never have directly used his own spiritual power or the heaven and earth spiritual to awaken the planetary core.
The moment his foreign spiritual power entered the core, or the core has a consciousness the Heavenly Dao would have detected it.
The spiritual energy that awakened the planetary core had to belong to this world.
That was why Lin Zhe had used Yu Weiwei's aura instead.
Yu Weiwei's aura had already existed within this world, so the Heavenly Dao would not regard it as an anomaly.
But that also meant something else.
When Lin Zhe had modified the planetary core, Yu Weiwei must have already been born.
Otherwise, Lin Zhe could not have used his aura to conceal his own presence.
Yu Weiwei's expression changed slightly.
Before he could think further, another memory suddenly surfaced within the inheritance.
Yu Weiwei's expression changed.
He saw Lin Zhe standing before the planetary core.
The image was different from the previous memories.
Lin Zhe's hand rested against the crystal, and his spiritual power flowed through the planetary veins.
Then something strange happened.
The figure standing before the planetary core slowly became blurred.
The image changed.
Yu Weiwei's breathing stopped.
The person standing there was no longer Lin Zhe.
It was him.
His white hair floated gently within the spiritual energy, and his green eyes reflected the light of the planetary core.
For a brief moment, Yu Weiwei had the inexplicable sensation that he was looking at a memory of himself.
Then the image disappeared.
His consciousness returned to his body.
