The door to the house was wide open, but there was still no one in sight inside.
Jane Sterling and Drew Thorne walked into the main hall. The coffin that had been there was gone, likely because the first seven days of mourning were over and the burial was imminent.
Jane Sterling looked around the room, where many photos of Old Man Warren from when he was alive were displayed.
She stared at one of the photo albums and called out softly.
"Drew Thorne, come look at this."
Drew Thorne strode over and saw the photo album in Jane Sterling's hands. In it, Old Man Warren was sitting in a taxi, smiling broadly.
'He was a taxi driver?'
The clothes Old Man Warren was wearing in the photo were identical to what Jane Sterling and Drew Thorne had seen him in that night.
"And you are..."
An elderly voice came from behind them, making them jump in fright.
They turned around to find an old woman with a stooped back.
