Joy Fischer's eyes lit up, and she nodded instantly.
'That's right! How could I have forgotten? Jane Sterling can see ghosts.'
'With her coming along, I'm sure there's no problem she can't solve.'
Listening to the three girls, Monica King's expression suddenly grew stern.
"What are you girls talking about? It's the middle of the night, it's not safe for you to be driving. Besides, a place like the ancestral tomb..."
Jane Sterling felt a pang of embarrassment.
'It's true, this is their family's ancestral tomb. It's not really appropriate for outsiders like us to go.'
But Joy Fischer grabbed Monica King's hand.
"Mom, don't worry, we'll be fine. Besides, Jane and Luna aren't strangers. I'm sure the ancestors won't mind."
With that, Joy Fischer ignored Monica King's protests, grabbed the car keys from the table, and pulled Jane Sterling and Luna Nash out the door.
Monica King remained behind, anxious.
