Jane Sterling took out the pen set aside for her and signed her full name with a flourish.
Looking at the two identical copies of the contract, Jane Sterling was overjoyed.
Now it was Drew Thorne's turn to be dumbfounded. He had been so nervous the whole time.
He never expected it to go so smoothly and easily. For a moment, Drew was so happy he didn't know which way was up.
Seeing that his goal was accomplished, Drew Thorne cleared his throat.
"Let's go."
"Where to?"
Drew Thorne glanced at Jane Sterling's flat stomach and chuckled softly.
"To get a late-night snack."
Jane Sterling froze for a moment before Drew Thorne led her to a bustling night market, walking straight up to a noodle shop.
"The noodles here are amazing. It's a time-honored brand, and there's usually a line. Want to give it a try?"
Jane Sterling was still a bit bewildered. She thought people from high society like Drew Thorne wouldn't eat at street stalls.
