Jane Sterling nodded, hurried forward, and helped the three people on the floor to their feet.
Uncle Lawson scrambled up from the floor, his legs still trembling. He braced himself against the wall and shakily supported his aching back.
"That was terrifying. Absolutely terrifying..."
Aunt Goodman wiped her tears. All she wanted was to find someone to hold and just wail her eyes out.
But Jasper Thorne and Uncle Lawson were obviously not appropriate choices. She looked at Jane Sterling, who was standing to the side, and grabbed onto her arm as if it were a lifeline, starting to sob uncontrollably.
"That was just too scary, way too scary! I thought that female ghost was just trying to frighten us, I didn't think she actually wanted to kill us!"
Seeing how agitated they were, Jane Sterling quickly did her best to comfort them.
Drew Thorne also came forward to help support Uncle Lawson by the arm.
