Miles Sherman glanced at Aaron Xavier. "Whether I like her or not is none of your business."
For once, Aaron Xavier sensed a hint of aggression from Miles Sherman.
Aaron Xavier's tongue immediately pressed against the roof of his mouth.
'In an instant, all his previous assumptions were overturned.'
'So he does care for her. But Miles is just too reserved.'
Aaron Xavier didn't ask again. After all, he wasn't about to tell Miles what exactly he liked about Zoe Pierce. That was something you might tell a lover, but saying it to a rival was just plain disgusting.
With that thought, even the idea of going to Miles' Residence seemed less appealing.
