"Nathan Lockwood, why do I get the feeling we've been down this road before?" Aaron Xavier said, looking at Nathan Lockwood up ahead while scanning their surroundings. "This place is seriously messed up."
They had all disengaged their Mechas. There was no other way; if they were still inside them, they wouldn't be able to communicate.
"We haven't. The things on the side are different." Chase Shaw scanned the area. The mountainside was covered in piles of scrap electronic components. At first glance, it all looked the same, but a closer look revealed subtle differences.
At this point, only Nathan Lockwood's Perception was of any use.
Nathan Lockwood rubbed the space between his eyebrows. "Something about this place is… strange."
Nathan Lockwood had sensed something was wrong the moment he realized they'd been lured in. Immediately afterward, their communications completely failed. They had no choice but to recall their Mechas into their Space Buttons.
They started walking.
