The question sounded a little familiar to Zoe Pierce.
She vaguely felt like she had heard it somewhere before.
The person asking was the same, and Zoe Pierce instantly remembered that Aaron Xavier had deliberately asked her this exact question before, inside the mecha: who was the best?
His question now was virtually identical to the one back then.
"Yes, yes, you're the best," Zoe Pierce said, her tone a bit dismissive.
With those words, she'd effortlessly lifted three hearts to the sky, only for them to be cruelly crushed in a closed fist.
Aaron Xavier's smile started to falter. He tried to force another grin, but his expression grew more serious than before. "I'm not joking with you."
He wanted to say, 'last time you could leave me out,' but this wasn't last time. She couldn't exclude him from her choice again.
"This time, including me, pick one. Who do you choose?"
