"It seems there really is water in the city. These people are total bastards—only caring about their own enjoyment, completely ignoring whether we commoners live or die."
"What else is new? They won't even let us on the roads anymore. They just want to trap us here to die. As long as we don't cross their line, how would His Majesty know his people are suffering here?"

This remark immediately drew the crowd's ire. "With just this tiny bit of water, there probably won't even be enough for one mouthful per person! We've been stuck out here for so many days. Aside from those few puddles we found earlier, have you ever seen the city gates open?"
