Jin Qianqian knew the old woman was trying to explain on behalf of her family. After all, they were just passing acquaintances; naturally, they wouldn't mind such things.
"Hurry back inside. The mountain wind is still a bit chilly; don't catch a cold," Jin Qianqian said, pulling her clothes tighter around herself as she waved goodbye to Granny Zhu.
Only when they were completely out of sight did Granny Zhu turn around and close the door.
"They left," Zhu Lin said, standing in the courtyard. He had woken up at some unknown point.
"They've left. They have their own path to walk," Granny Zhu replied. "Is your brother not up yet? Go wake him. It won't be good to head into town late."
Zhu Lin shouted a few times toward Zhu Mu's room before turning back to his own.
Looking at the neatly arranged brick bed, he nodded silently, pleased that the couple had been considerate enough not to leave his room in a mess.
