Phoebe Sawyer raised an eyebrow, surprised by her mother's intense reaction.
Seeing how curious her mother was, she continued, "My friend said that her mother must really miss her biological daughter. She's always just spacing out by herself..."
As she spoke, a thought suddenly struck Phoebe like an electric shock—
'Mom has been spacing out all by herself a lot lately, too. Who is she missing?'
"And then what?" Wendy Lowe pressed anxiously. "Did her mother go look for her biological daughter?"
"Not yet." Phoebe Sawyer shook her head. "But my friend is planning to help her mother find her biological daughter. She was worried the daughter wouldn't want to acknowledge her mother, so she asked Sylvia and me what we thought."
"Would she?" Wendy Lowe stared at her, subconsciously gripping her arm. "Would the biological daughter really be unwilling to acknowledge her?"
