Hearing what was said inside, Benjamin Shepherd froze, his hacking at the door coming to an abrupt halt.
Winnie, sensing the commotion outside had stopped, called out anxiously, "I'm not lying to you! Winnie really isn't here."
Benjamin Shepherd turned his head to look at the door across the hall, frowning as he recalled what he had just seen.
'Which room did that bitch go into?'
'I think I saw Winnie open the door to the room across the hall.'
Benjamin Shepherd narrowed his eyes, turned around, and raised the gleaming cleaver in his hand, hacking viciously at the other doorknob.
When Winnie heard him hacking at the opposite door, she instantly let out a sigh of relief, a slow smile forming on her lips.
