Laya accepted a new mission: to lead Li Wei to the Elf Imperial Court in Ferruccio.
Delvin's reasoning was that he was worried elves from other territories might not recognize Li Wei and could attack him. To prevent such a misunderstanding, Laya would escort him to the Elf Imperial Court.

Niezha pushed open the door, strode in, and said, "I disagree."
"This human is too dangerous. Laya is not suited for this mission."
Delvin frowned at him and said sternly, "Niezha, get out."
"My Lord! He's too dangero—"
"Get out!" Delvin said, his anger rising.
"How many times do I have to say it?"
Niezha and Delvin stared at each other for a moment before Niezha's shoulders slumped.
Resigned, he turned and left the room.
Delvin looked at Li Wei and said apologetically, "My apologies. I failed to manage my subordinate properly."
"It's nothing. There's no need for you to apologize, my Lord," Li Wei said.
