It felt like a dream.
The man who had just been chatting with her and wishing her a Merry Christmas suddenly appeared right before her eyes.
The man landed, steadying himself. He glanced at her through the whistling wind.
The light was faint, but she could still make out the expression on his face.
Cold. Indifferent.
After just one look, he averted his gaze as if they were complete strangers.
Aaron stood by his side. Zelo jumped down from the helicopter and helped Zero to his feet.
He then scanned the surroundings before his eyes landed on her.
"Take her away."
The voice that rang out was utterly flat. If Zero hadn't known it so well, he would have thought he was hearing things.
"Yes."
Zero and Zelo walked toward Mia Grant.
"Miss, let's go."
Mia Grant froze. She was about to say something, but Ian Sinclair, who was beside her, cut her off. "Get on first. We can talk once we're out of here."
