Ian Sinclair spun around, his expression a mixture of surprise and delight.
Before Mia Grant could say another word, he stepped forward and pulled her into a hug.
Mia Grant laughed and patted his arm. "Okay, okay, that's enough."
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
Ian Sinclair gave her a hard kiss on the lips. "Came to see my cousin."
Mia Grant furrowed her brows, staring at him without a word.
"Alright, fine. I mostly wanted to see you."
"You have no idea. When I chased after you just now and couldn't find you, I was so upset. I thought I wasn't going to see you today."
The tall "puppy" loved to bury his head on her shoulder, nuzzling against the crook of her neck. When he acted cute, his voice would soften, making one want to pat his head.
And so, Mia Grant did just that.
In a corner of the brightly lit courtyard, the two of them hid in the shadows, nestled together as if for warmth, or perhaps flirting.
