Before Xixi could answer, she was pulled behind someone.
A striking, snow-white figure blocked the male's line of sight.
"You injured your leg, not your brain. What nonsense are you spouting? If you're healed, go help move stones at the main gate."
The gray wolf male meekly lay back down. It wasn't that he was a coward, but that when the young Clan Leader threw a punch, it *really* hurt.
Feiyan turned around to see Xixi watching him, her arms crossed over her chest.
Feiyan puffed out his chest. He couldn't lose his imposing air.
"There are quite a few injured females and cubs over there. If you want to help, head that way."
With that, he grabbed Xixi and started pulling her in the other direction.
"Hey, I haven't agreed to anything!"
"You didn't say no, so that's a yes."
But before they got far, Xixi was intercepted.
Jin Ling pulled Xixi away from Feiyan. His gilded, golden eyes were calm, but they swept over Feiyan with a turbulent undercurrent.
