A brutal slaughter raged on ceaselessly.
Over six hundred people were divided into roughly a hundred teams of various sizes, most with around ten members each.
The teams kept their distance from one another, giving themselves room to fight while still being close enough to offer support.
Nearly every team had one or two powerful Defensive Magical Treasures protecting them as they were locked in combat with two or three massive Zombies.
However, the vast majority of the teams were on the defensive, each in a precarious and worrying situation.
Although the Fourth Level Zombies were a bit slow and only numbered about a third of the humans, they were enormous. Each one stood over two men tall, was impervious to blades and spears, and possessed immense strength.
Furthermore, the corpse poison on their bodies was terrifying. The ground they trampled would be left with black circles tainted with the poison.
