Vincent Hawthorne reached out and picked it up, twirling it between his fingers. 'Is it the same style? Or the very same one?'
Vincent Hawthorne put the ring down and observed the bathroom again. There didn't seem to be any more clues.
'If Audrey Kensington really does call later, and Faye Vaughn is also here, that would prove they aren't the same person.'
Vincent Hawthorne washed his hands and walked out of the bathroom.
Faye Vaughn was sitting on the floor, leaning lazily against the edge of the sofa. She held her phone in one hand, swiping through it casually.
Hearing the sound, she looked up. "Audrey sent me a voice message. Want to hear it?"
She tapped her phone, and a voice that belonged to Audrey Kensington flowed out.
"I'm not coming back for a while. I need to clear my head and calm down."
"I won't lie to you, I really do like Lawyer Hawthorne, but I don't think he truly likes me back."
