Celeste Grant didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
All children learn to walk at a certain age. Some just start a little earlier, some a little later. Even so, seeing her own daughter wobbily take her first steps, Celeste Grant couldn't hide the joy on her face.
Celeste Grant smiled gently, stepping forward to kiss her daughter's little cheek. "My Elise is so amazing! Such a good job. Mommy's kisses."
Javier Sinclair happily planted a kiss on Celeste Grant's cheek. "My dear, you've worked so hard raising her."
The little girl in his arms giggled and, copying her father, leaned over to give Celeste Grant a kiss on the cheek.
"Mommy... Mommy."
Her daughter slobbered a kiss all over her face, but Celeste Grant couldn't conceal her smile. This was the daughter she had carried for ten months; how could she not love her own child?
Javier Sinclair held his daughter with one arm and pointed to his own cheek with his other hand. "Sweetheart, Daddy wants a kiss too."
"Daddy..."
