He frowned slightly. His figure materialized at Celeste Grant's residence, and he walked inside. A moment later, Javier Sinclair was surveying the place with a grim expression.
He saw that the woman's things were all gone. So were the kid's clothes and his everyday items—all packed up and taken away.
They hadn't even left the blanket on the bed.
The entire bedchamber was now completely empty.
It was as if no one had ever lived here.
'Where'd that woman run off to with the kid, instead of staying home?'
A thought occurred to Javier Sinclair.
'When Celeste Grant first came to me, all she asked for was my protection for a little while. So now that she has her Cultivation and has given birth to our son, am I just useless? Did she just take him and leave?'
Staring at the empty room, Javier Sinclair was so furious he laughed.
He clenched his fists, and a layer of black-red flames coiled around his body, adding the air of a vicious demon to his already grim face.
