"A man who can't even win back his woman, who can only watch as she has a baby with someone else... that's just pathetic. What's the point of a good-for-nothing like that? He might as well just castrate himself."
Hearing this, Celeste Grant sighed again. He really had a mouth on him.
'Castrate himself?'
"Exalted One, with a personality like yours, you could only ever be the third-rate villain in a storybook, never the hero."
'And in this story, wasn't Javier Sinclair the resident gloomy archfiend?'
Javier Sinclair spoke up, "Storybook? If anyone dares to write about me, I'll twist their head off."
At this, he paused slightly and leaned closer to her. "You brought that up... who is it you want to marry and have a baby with?"
His deep voice rang coolly beside her ear.
Celeste Grant froze for a moment, a smile touching her eyes.
Her fingers slowly traced a path up his chest.
"So, Exalted One... you like me?"
And just like that, he fell silent.
