In Ji Yang District, outside an inconspicuous warehouse, Yu Lie exchanged a password with a guard at the door. Once permitted to pass, he walked inside.
The interior was not what you would expect of a warehouse. The space had been meticulously renovated. He passed through a high-ceilinged corridor lit by two industrial lamps and entered a lounge area.
Two rows of sofas were arranged here, but no one was sitting on them. Instead, four men in black stood solemnly behind the sofas.
He recognized them as the men from the Temporary Special Action Committee he had defeated earlier. Yet, as he entered, they showed no hostility, merely nodding at him.
At the same time, one of them stepped forward and opened a door leading to the back.
"The boss is inside."
"Thanks."
Yu Lie straightened his clothes and walked in. Another corridor lay ahead. After about ten paces, he reached the end, knocked on the door, and said, "Sir, Yu Lie reporting."
A voice from inside said, "Come in."
