Year 2083.
Forty years had passed since the apocalypse began, and the world that once stood on the brink of extinction had risen again—not through fragile peace, but through power, discipline, and an unyielding refusal to collapse.
Humanity had not merely survived.
It had evolved.
It had ascended.
At the forefront of this transformation stood Gu Yunchen, alongside the ruling powers of A Continent—the birthplace of the most advanced cultivation system ever created. Together, they crossed oceans and skies, traveling across all five continents, forging alliances where suspicion once reigned and restoring order where chaos had long taken root.
The seas, once choked with the undead, were cleared and reclaimed. The oceans were no longer a domain of decay but a vast, living frontier once again. Yet even in their dominance, humanity exercised restraint. Colossal beasts—ancient, towering creatures of both land and sea—were spared, not out of mercy, but because something greater had already begun.
And that beginning centered on one man.
Gu Ruisheng.
Without warning or explanation, the king beasts of the world began to seek him out. They did not come to challenge him, nor to flee from him. They came to submit—to bond.
One after another, apex creatures of unimaginable strength lowered themselves before him, recognizing something beyond human comprehension. Through Gu Ruisheng, the beasts of the world were unified, and through that unity, a fragile but undeniable balance emerged.
Under this balance, human conflict transformed. Martial arts exchanges became global summits, where power replaced war and strength became a universal language. Diplomacy was no longer conducted through words alone, but through cultivation, technique, and mastery.
However, this peace had not come easily.
Five years earlier, the truth had shaken the world.
The other continents were weaker—not by circumstance, but by foundation. Every individual from A Continent stood above their counterparts elsewhere, and the imbalance was absolute. Fear spread quickly, followed by anger, and eventually demands for answers.
The response came with a single condition: peace.
A treaty was signed, and a massive island was designated as neutral ground—an arena where disputes would be resolved without death or crippling. In exchange, A Continent shared its secret: the Hundred Qi Force Refinement Technique.
The results were immediate. At the next global summit, the gap began to close. Not erased, but no longer insurmountable. From that moment forward, the world began to rise together.
Yet even as strength flourished, life itself began to slow.
With lifespans stretching beyond ten thousand years, birth became increasingly rare. Humanity had outgrown its natural cycle, and artificial childbirth became the focus of global research.
While one part of humanity turned inward, another looked outward.
Toward space.
When the first ships broke past the atmosphere, what they discovered defied all expectations. Humans could survive in space—for twenty-four hours. Barely, but enough to change everything.
Driven by ambition, they ventured into the meteorite belt surrounding their planet, harvesting every fragment they could find. But when the final meteorite was taken, the universe itself reacted.
Spatial turbulence erupted violently, twisting reality and tearing at space. The explorers barely escaped, using spatial abilities to return to the planet, injured but alive.
What they returned to was no longer the same world.
The planet had begun absorbing chaotic energy from the turbulence—raw, unrefined, unstable energy of unimaginable potency.
Humanity reacted swiftly. Every individual released their bonded animals from personal spaces, allowing them to absorb the chaotic energy first. Only after stabilizing their companions did humans begin absorbing the void energy themselves.
Because this energy was different.
It was not refined.
It was not controlled.
It was chaos itself.
And chaos could either destroy—or forge something greater.
Across the world, cultivation systems were reevaluated. Foundations that once seemed unshakable were no longer enough. Chaotic energy did not simply enhance strength—it solidified it, reshaped it, forced evolution at the deepest level.
Most continents had cultivated only a single type of energy.
But A Continent had cultivated both Qi and Mana.
That difference now became everything.
As cultivation intensified, society slowed. The need for food diminished, and even restaurants closed as humanity entered a state of global stillness—of absorption, of transformation.
Then, without warning, a voice descended into the minds of every living being.
The World God spoke to them.
His presence was calm yet overwhelming, his consciousness vast beyond comprehension. As he spoke, he simultaneously worked to stabilize the chaotic influx, refining it into the planet's core.
He revealed the truth.
The meteorite belt had been a barrier—a seal he had created before entering slumber, meant to regulate the absorption of void energy. Humanity, in its ambition, had shattered that restraint.
Now the world would accelerate far beyond its intended pace.
He admitted he had planned to wait until all humans reached the Immortal Level before advancing the world further. But that choice was no longer possible.
Instead, he issued a correction.
The Hundred Refinement Technique must evolve.
It must become the Thousand Refinement Technique.
Upon hearing this, Gu Mian and the others felt something rare—shame. They had advanced too quickly, broken something they did not understand, and forced the world forward.
Yet there was no turning back.
Only adaptation.
The World God spoke once more, his voice reaching all life.
"Settle. Cultivate. Evolve."
And so the world fell into silence.
For six months, there were no wars, no summits, no distractions—only cultivation.
Only transformation.
Then it began.
The Third Evolution.
It did not unfold gently.
It erupted.
Plants were the first to change. Forests twisted upward, their trunks splitting and reforming into shapes that defied natural law. Leaves shimmered with energy, glowing faintly with awareness. Some trees began to move, their roots tearing free from the earth as they reshaped into colossal, sentient guardians. Others developed eyes within their bark, watching the world with ancient intelligence.
Then came the animals.
This was no mere mutation.
This was ascension into myth.
Wolves grew vast wings of storm and shadow, or grew to attunement in the highest form of elemental affinity, or grew bigger than mountains, their howls echoing across continents.
Serpents and lizards transformed into sky-dominating drakes, their scales reflecting void energy like constellations.
Majestic and already colossal crocodiles into earth dragons or water drakes.
Birds expanded into colossal entities of primal power, radiating flames, frost, or storm.
The oceans erupted with life as krakens, leviathans, and ancient sea beasts rose from the depths.
This was no longer evolution.
This was legend made real.
January 2084 marked the end of the cultivation frenzy. The average level of all life—human, plant, and animal—reached the Mystical Realm.
On the 18th of January, history was rewritten.
That morning, the world became calm. The World God had successfully stabilized the chaotic energy. As people emerged from months of cultivation, a deep, ancient roar echoed across every ocean.
Yet instead of fear, humanity felt joy—pure, overwhelming joy, like greeting a long-lost companion.
Drones were deployed in millions, broadcasting live across all continents. As the world watched, massive shapes rose from the ocean—colossal turtle-like beings with mountain-sized shells, waterfalls cascading from their forms.
These beings swam forward with astonishing speed for their sizes.
They gathered around a newly formed island near A Continent.
Then the truth became clear.
The island itself was alive.
It roared what seemed like a greeting from beneath the waters, human left their homes and teleported to surround it.
A colossal black turtle emerged, its shell gleaming with divine luster. It greeted humanity, and in response, humanity bowed.
They then realized from communication with it that it was just the beginning.
So they chose places on the backs of these turtles to seat and wait. Seating according to continent.
The People from A continent perched on the turtle king, as it belonged to their waters.
Soon, more beings arrived.
Sparrows that once fit in cages now blotted out the sky—the Cloud-Chasing Heaven-Swallowing Sparrows.
Three Golden three-legged crows descended, alongside one black variant that radiated authority.
Then came the phoenixes—six in total, flames and ice intertwining as they descended. Two red, two blue and two black.
Each beast king greeted Gu Ruisheng.
Because all beasts kings recognized him.
Then the oceans roared again.
The true rulers had arrived.
Dragons.
Massive, celestial beings soared into the sky from the deepest depths of the ocean, their forms radiating majesty. They played, roared, and celebrated their awakening.
Then one emerged above all.
A black dragon.
The Beast Emperor.
It approached Gu Ruisheng and affectionately brushed against him, a gesture so gentle it drew laughter from humanity.
Because Gu Ruisheng was tinier than it's eyelashes.
And in that moment—
All beasts bowed.
The Age of Myth had begun.
And a worldwide celebration was held as well as holiday to commemorate this day.
As these newly awakened animals could fly, you would frequently see the dragons and turtles flying above cities. It was an amazing sight.
A few months later the beasts had integrated into the world and human got used to seeing the beasts.
Years passed, and harmony formed between humans and beasts. These creatures could speak, learn, and cultivate. Humanity taught them the Hundred Qi Refinement Technique, and together they advanced.
To reach the God Realm, one had to transform their abilities into laws or their elemental Qi into paths.
While condensing their paths and making laws, they engaged in side activities, the dragons would shrink to palm sized animals and the turtles would turn pocket sized, Phoenixes as tiny as sparrows, then climb on the head of a human or enter their pockets and hang like pets and then they would take pegasuses into space to fly around and see how far they can go.
After breaking through to demi-god realm, they could freely breathe in space.
They travelled round the star cluster and then came to the edge of their star cluster.
Surrounding the star cluster was a meteorite wall enclosing it like a city wall, but this city had planets instead.
So they turned around to go to other planets to see if they could find life but these planets were too young to support life so they were still barren.
But land and oceans had already formed and separated indicating that they going to produce intelligent life in a few thousand or a million years.
They also achieved understanding and insights into their paths and laws, so it became a pastime activity for the blue planet citizens to travel outer space.
The population of humans left was now 103 million people exact.
By 2095, humanity reached the Half-Step God Realm, limited only by the planet's energy capacity.
When breakthroughs occurred, auroras filled the sky to represent laws, or entire environments shifted to reflect cultivated paths.
Other continents gloated with giddy mirth at A continent because they had to cultivate both a path and a law to break through.
Eventually, after 20 percent of the humans in other continents combined broke through, A Continent began its breakthroughs.
