Chapter 284 - Chapter 284: Over Ten Thousand Dark Celestials?

Karl, who was out in space, naturally had no idea what the Illuminati on Earth thought of him.

Even had he known, he would have simply dismissed it with a laugh.

He had never cared much about such things.

Right now, what he needed to focus on were the remaining dozens of Dark Celestials before him.

After witnessing Karl's overwhelming power, they had clearly joined together and remained completely motionless.

They had sealed themselves inside an impenetrable defensive formation.

Moreover, Karl could sense an endless stream of power converging upon them from some unknown location.

Even attacks as powerful as his were beginning to have difficulty breaking through their defenses.

Karl could sense that the terrifying level of power before him now far surpassed what they had displayed earlier.

Mysterious light flickered in his eyes, as though his gaze could penetrate everything.

He could see an endless stream of power flowing through the void from an unknown location and gathering around the Dark Celestials.

Karl frowned.

"How can there be this many of them in the Main Universe? Are all the other powerhouses dead?"

"The First Firmament actually sent more than ten thousand Dark Celestials."

"That thing has completely lost its mind."

The corner of Karl's mouth twitched.

He had assumed Scarlet Witch was exaggerating earlier.

Now it appeared that she had been telling the truth.

"This is going to be troublesome."

"Still, I need to deal with these ones first."

Karl shook his head.

To be honest, had they been ordinary Celestials, he would have been able to handle them as long as all ten thousand did not attack him simultaneously.

He might even have been able to eliminate them individually.

These Dark Celestials, however, were different.

The sources of their power were linked together and interconnected.

From somewhere within an unknown region of space, an endless stream of power continued flowing toward them, sustaining the barrier surrounding their bodies.

In only a brief moment, the Dark Celestials' injuries had completely healed.

The gazes they directed at Karl also became increasingly dangerous.

They gathered their strength and prepared to strike.

Black power began converging once again.

However, they had learned from their previous mistakes.

They did not attack Karl directly.

Instead, their black energy transformed into a vast cloud of black mist that spread toward him.

As the mist advanced, countless strange sounds emerged from within it.

Even the rules of reality were being corrupted by its terrifying power.

Asteroids, meteorites, and everything else it touched were instantly reduced to the most fundamental particles.

Mysterious light flickered in Karl's eyes.

The black mist was filled with fragments of countless different Laws, along with various strange wills.

Karl could even feel the surrounding rules beginning to collapse.

The reason was simple.

The Laws within that region were being directly absorbed and devoured by the First Firmament's power.

Through the Dark Celestials, the First Firmament was seizing the power of the entire Multiverse!

"As expected of the first being to appear in this world—a truly primordial existence."

"But without your true form descending, do you honestly believe you can do anything to me?"

Karl appeared to speak to himself.

His overwhelming will began to manifest.

The radiance of time flowed around him.

The light surrounding Karl became distorted.

It was as though he had suddenly disappeared from the world.

Or, more precisely, he had vanished from that particular segment of time.

At that moment, he was standing directly within the River of Time.

Karl pointed forward with one hand.

Distorted currents of turbulent time surged toward the black mist.

Before the overwhelming power of time, everything began to decay.

The next moment, time itself began flowing backward.

"Take the Multiverse's matter if you like."

"Now experience the power of time."

Karl sneered.

The turbulent currents of time erupted.

Under the effects of Karl's terrifying temporal power, the matter that had been devoured by the black mist gradually returned.

The black mist itself appeared to move in reverse, retreating along the path from which it had come.

Karl waved his hand once more.

The turbulent currents of time surrounded the Dark Celestials.

At that exact moment, another crescent-shaped Spatial Rift appeared in his hand.

Karl infused it with his will.

He sent the attack flying forward.

It flashed through space like a soaring crescent moon.

Slice!

It sounded as though a sharp blade had cut through a sheet of silk.

Everything standing before Karl was severed by that razor-sharp power.

Even the barrier that had continuously protected the Dark Celestials was no exception.

To be honest, had they remained sealed inside that defensive shell, Karl would not have had any effective way to break through it.

However, they had chosen to attack.

The moment they attacked, they exposed an opening.

Karl used the powerful turbulent currents of time to sever the energy network supporting them from behind, then launched his attack without hesitation.

Nearly a hundred Celestials working together had indeed been capable of creating an unparalleled defense.

However, Karl had already killed half of them.

Their remaining strength was no longer sufficient.

The shield they formed could not possibly withstand a Spatial Blade of such terrifying power.

In an instant, they were torn apart by the razor-sharp spatial force.

Even their smallest particles were shattered.

This was what made Karl's attack so powerful.

It somewhat resembled the protagonist's Wind Style: Rasen Shuriken from Naruto.

At the moment of contact, the Spatial Blade spun violently through space.

Countless infinitesimal Spatial Rifts sliced through everything before them.

Even the physically formidable Celestials could not withstand such terrifying power.

Their bodies and energy were disintegrated and destroyed in an instant.

The space before Karl was completely emptied.

Everything there had disappeared.

Karl, however, showed no trace of joy.

He could sense even more power moving toward him.

It was already extremely close.

"This really has brought the entire swarm down on me."

"Does that thing truly have no fear that the Living Tribunal will destroy it for sending so many subordinates into the Multiverse?"

"How reckless."

Karl could not understand it.

The First Firmament was undoubtedly extremely powerful.

However, it was far from invincible.

There were still many monstrous existences within the Multiverse capable of killing it.

Phoenix, Scarlet Witch, Merlin, and other beings like them all possessed power at that level.

Had the First Firmament gone insane?

Why would it challenge the entire Multiverse by itself?

Sending more than ten thousand Dark Celestials was no different from declaring war.

Karl simply could not understand its reasoning.

While Karl was considering the matter, a vast number of dark wormholes appeared before him.

Countless Dark Celestials emerged from them.

They hovered silently in space, staring at Karl.

Even with Karl's immense strength, he could not prevent a chill from running down his spine.

He could already feel that terrifying will bearing down on him.
