The arrival of the Dark Celestials did not only bring despair to the people of Earth.
Even Karl felt a certain amount of pressure.
In all the years he had spent in this world, this was one of the few times he had genuinely felt pressured.
The reason was simple.
The members of the Dark Celestials were extraordinarily powerful.
More importantly, they had the advantage of numbers.
More than a hundred of them had arrived at once.
How could Karl possibly feel no pressure?
Fortunately, the situation was still within the limits of what he could accept.
"Wanda, how many of them can you handle?" Karl asked, shaking his head as he looked at her.
Wanda pursed her lips, her expression extremely solemn.
"There are too many of them. I can handle around a dozen at most."
"I won't be able to manage any more than that," Wanda replied through clenched teeth.
Although she had gained a certain degree of control over Chaos Power, the Scarlet Witch was still restricted by the limitations of her soul and physical body.
She could not unleash Chaos Power to its fullest extent.
If she forced herself beyond those limits, she could indeed release unimaginably terrifying power.
However, the resulting destruction would probably engulf countless innocent people and completely violate her original intentions.
That was an outcome no one wanted to see.
After hearing her answer, Karl considered the situation for a moment.
"In that case, deal with as many as you can."
"Leave the rest to me."
The Scarlet Witch bit her lip.
"Karl, can you really handle them?"
"These are Dark Celestials. They are comparable in strength to ordinary Celestials and are extremely powerful."
"Don't force yourself if you cannot defeat them. Earth still has many other powerful defenders."
Karl smiled calmly.
"Don't worry. I won't attempt anything beyond my abilities."
"If I am truly in danger, I definitely won't run."
"I'll fight them to the death."
"You have nothing to worry about."
After hearing this, the Scarlet Witch merely nodded without saying anything.
From what she understood about Karl, he was certainly not someone who feared death.
She silently made a decision.
If Karl truly encountered danger, she would protect him even if it cost her life.
No matter what happened, she would keep him alive.
Karl had no idea that the woman beside him was already preparing to protect him.
His expression was solemn as he stared at the distant figures that resembled enormous mountain ranges.
They were completely different from ordinary Celestials.
The Dark Celestials were entirely black, without the slightest trace of light around their bodies.
They were almost invisible against the darkness of space, their forms completely concealed within the void.
Had it not been for the terrifying auras radiating from their bodies, they would have been extremely difficult to detect with the naked eye.
Even from an incomprehensible distance, one of them had destroyed the weapon Tony Stark created with a casual wave of its hand.
That alone demonstrated the extent of their power.
Karl, however, remained completely confident.
There was no fear on his face.
An immense aura erupted from his body.
In an instant, the powerful Dark Celestials finally turned their attention toward him.
Even they could not ignore Karl's terrifying power.
However, the Dark Celestials showed no intention of communicating with him.
Karl saw black streams of light begin flowing across the body of one Dark Celestial like running water.
A pitch-black beam shot directly toward his forehead.
The dark beam contained an indescribably strange aura.
It was not destruction.
It was not darkness.
Even Karl did not know how to describe it.
However, he could clearly sense the terrifying power contained within the attack.
His expression did not change.
He raised one hand and waved it.
A golden portal appeared directly before him.
The pitch-black beam shot into the portal, causing the surrounding space to distort violently.
The intensity of the distortion demonstrated just how powerful the black beam was.
Fortunately, Karl's mastery of space was equally formidable.
The portal remained perfectly stable.
A second portal appeared behind the Dark Celestials.
The black beam emerged from it and struck one of them from behind.
Black light flashed.
The powerful Dark Celestial was sent flying, and the black armor covering its body shattered.
The method might have appeared simple, almost like an ability anyone could use.
However, the power behind it was anything but ordinary.
Karl looked at the Dark Celestials.
"It seems there is nothing to discuss."
Karl sighed.
The Dark Celestials gave no response to his words.
They remained cold and emotionless.
A chilling wave of killing intent pressed toward Karl and the Scarlet Witch.
"Be careful. These creatures are not easy to deal with."
"Their strength is probably every bit as great as that of the ordinary Celestials," Karl warned solemnly.
"I'll be careful."
Crimson light flashed.
The laws of the surrounding space were instantly altered.
The Scarlet Witch disappeared.
At the same time, around twenty of the distant Dark Celestials vanished with her.
Karl raised an eyebrow and sighed.
He hoped the Scarlet Witch would not push herself too far.
Fighting twenty powerful Celestials was no easy task.
Karl shook his head.
He trusted that the Scarlet Witch understood her own limits.
He now needed to face the remaining Dark Celestials.
They were the killing machines sent by the First Firmament.
During the brief moment Karl was distracted, the Dark Celestials fully mobilized their power.
In the next instant, the heavens seemed to darken.
Black energy surged outward like an enormous tide and covered the entire Solar System.
Several massive planets beyond Earth were instantly destroyed by the terrifying power.
Those planets were dozens of times larger than Earth, yet they were annihilated in an instant.
This was the Main Universe.
The celestial bodies here were incomparably stable.
Planets located within a central region like the Solar System were especially extraordinary.
Yet before the power of the Dark Celestials, those enormous planets were as fragile as paper.
They were destroyed with a casual wave.
Such terrifying power was enough to horrify anyone.
The people on Earth were overwhelmed by despair.
Those capable of witnessing the destruction of the other planets were especially shaken.
Some of them almost wished they could tear out their own eyes rather than continue watching.
Many of Earth's powerful individuals, including numerous villains, sensed the terrifying aura and were filled with dread.
Even powerful demons who were not currently on Earth began fleeing from the Infernal Realm and other dimensions.
They wanted to put as much distance between themselves and Earth as possible.
For a time, Earth seemed to have become the most dangerous forbidden zone in existence.
Everyone capable of escaping wanted to flee.
However, Karl continued standing before Earth.
He stood like an unbreakable bulwark, as though nothing in existence could move him.
In that instant, Karl stood there like a god.
