What did it look like when a Skyfather-level being went all out?
Worlds collapsed. Planets exploded.
The empty universe was filled with the shattered remains of dead worlds.
The aftershocks of the battle could be detected even from several star systems away.
The cosmic empires that had observation stations nearby were trembling in fear.
The Kree and the Shi'ar Empire had even activated all of their detectors and satellites.
And yet, this was only the aftermath of Karl's battle with Galactus.
If they had truly fought with everything they had, the scene would have been even more unbelievable.
It would have looked like the end of the world, like a second Big Bang.
At the very center of Karl and Galactus's clash, space itself had suffered permanent damage.
That region of space looked like a dried, dead fishing net.
Even the barriers of the universe had been partially shattered.
Hidden spatial rifts were everywhere.
Chaotic energy currents filled the area as well.
It would probably take hundreds of millions of years before time itself finally smoothed over the scars left behind by their battle.
At this moment—
right at the center of that battlefield—
three figures stood amid the cracks in space.
Karl, Galactus, and Thanos.
However—
Karl and Thanos were still standing.
Galactus was down on one knee.
The magnificent armor covering his body was now riddled with cracks, as if it might shatter at any moment.
After all, this was only a projection of part of his divine manifestation.
It was powerful, but it had limits.
Clearly, Karl's attacks had already pushed this projected form of Galactus to its breaking point.
It probably needed only a little more force to make that powerful armored projection collapse completely.
The blood vessels in his eyes had burst, and blood was flowing from his ears.
He looked as though he had been poisoned.
Clearly, Karl's earlier attacks had already inflicted nearly fatal damage on Galactus.
On top of that, the power inside his body had gone out of control.
The state of his body was becoming harder and harder to contain.
"Cough, cough."
Galactus spat out a mouthful of blood.
That purple blood instantly turned into tangible energy and dissipated into space.
Galactus lifted his head, swayed as he rose from the ground, looked at Karl, and said,
"Let me leave."
Hearing that, an absurd expression appeared on Karl's face.
"Let you leave?"
"Do you really think that's possible?"
"We're already enemies. How am I supposed to know you won't come back for revenge?"
"What if you devour Earth while I'm away?"
Karl was genuinely taken aback.
He felt Galactus was being absurdly naïve.
The battle had already escalated this far. How could he possibly be allowed to leave?
A god like Galactus, one who had lived for billions of years—if he ever fixated on Earth out of spite, then Earth would definitely be doomed.
How could Karl possibly leave behind a threat like that?
He found Galactus's thinking utterly ridiculous.
But Galactus only sneered disdainfully and said provocatively,
"Do you dare kill me?"
"I am an avatar of one of the Five Great Gods!"
"A maintainer of universal balance!"
"You dare kill me?"
Galactus spoke with complete arrogance.
Karl laughed when he heard that.
He felt Galactus had truly lost his mind.
Was Galactus powerful?
Yes, unbelievably powerful.
He was one of the Five Great Gods, one of the strongest among them, one of the most powerful beings in this world.
But—
the Galactus here was only a projection of a projection.
Across the Multiverse, there were countless incarnations of Galactus that had been killed by all sorts of powerful beings.
Killed by mutants. Killed by various cosmic powerhouses. Killed by Annihilus.
If you piled up all the corpses of Galactus across the Multiverse, they could probably encircle it once.
He didn't dare kill him?
What a joke.
"Galactus, I think you've gotten one thing very wrong."
"I have never been afraid of threats."
Karl said that calmly.
A Rift-Cleaving Blade appeared in his hand, its Law of Space honed to the absolute limit.
Then, with a speed too fast to react to—
Karl thrust the blade out.
In a single instant, it pierced straight through Galactus's energy core.
Galactus's eyes flew wide open.
He lowered his head and looked at his chest.
His eyes were filled with utter disbelief.
"You actually… truly dared…"
He slowly forced out that final sentence.
Then Galactus lost all signs of life.
His eyes were still filled with disbelief.
As though he simply could not accept that he would die.
Unfortunately—
he would never get the chance to regret it.
Karl remained completely calm about all this, then walked straight toward Thanos.
"This really is strange. It's the first time I've ever heard someone make a request like that."
"He actually asked me to kill him."
"I had no choice but to fulfill his wish."
Karl spoke indifferently.
"You've gone completely mad!"
Thanos looked at Karl with total disbelief in his eyes.
"You actually killed Galactus!"
"Do you even know what you've done?"
Thanos shouted in a mix of rage and shock.
Karl glanced at Thanos and rolled his eyes.
Thanos actually had the nerve to say that?
When it came to wiping out half the life in the universe, he wouldn't even blink.
He had killed more than one of the Five Great Gods.
As for Galactus, Thanos had killed him, watched him revive, and killed him again in other timelines.
And now he had the nerve to talk?
"That's right. I did kill Galactus."
"And what do you think I'm going to do next?"
A smile appeared at the corner of Karl's mouth.
The next moment—
a chill shot straight up the back of Thanos's neck.
The power of the Infinity Stones erupted.
He spun around and threw a punch behind him.
The terrifying power of the Infinity Stones exploded outward.
In that instant, the already turbulent energy around them became even more unstable.
But then—
an utterly ordinary hand appeared.
It directly blocked Thanos's punch.
In an instant, even the power of the Infinity Stones dimmed.
The violent energy surrounding them calmed at once.
"What?"
A fresh look of shock appeared on Thanos's face.
"Your power… your control…"
"It actually grew stronger again?"
The shock on Thanos's face could no longer be suppressed.
What kind of monster was this?
They had only been fighting for half a day, and yet his strength had already grown again in a clearly noticeable way.
How could a human like this possibly exist in the world?
Thanos despaired.
As a tyrant of his age, he had clawed his way up from insignificance. In his youth, he had faced weakness, pain, and humiliation.
Even then, he had never despaired.
But now, he truly did.
He no longer even wanted to resist.
Karl did not hesitate either. He swung the Rift-Cleaving Blade in his hand, intending to cut off Thanos's head with a single strike.
Boom!
In an instant, a terrifying burst of energy erupted.
An astonishing force of attraction suddenly exploded outward.
The surrounding matter and energy were all dragged into it.
Karl's expression changed.
In the next instant, he appeared at the edge of the star system.
Then—
black light emerged.
It was as though a black hole had suddenly appeared in the universe.
Stars, planets, energy, matter—
even light itself—
were all dragged into that horrifying pull.
An entire star system—
in the blink of an eye—
turned into a region of pure black void.
