Emma stopped mid-sentence the moment she felt Finnick's gaze on her. The words died in her throat, and she lowered her voice, muttering with resentment, "If it weren't for you, the Miller pack wouldn't be in this situation… and yet you act so proud."
A cold scoff left Finnick's lips. "So the Miller pack refuses to accept Vivian's condition?"
The room fell silent again.
Emma and Harvey looked at me quickly, their eyes filled with panic, silently urging me to say something, to soften him.
Anger burned through me. Even now, they were trying to use me, right in front of him.
Harvey stepped forward, his voice trembling. "Mr. Norton, please… give us another chance." He turned sharply to Emma. "What are you waiting for? Apologize to Vivian!"
Emma stiffened. For a moment, she didn't move. Then, with clear reluctance, she forced herself to speak. "Vivian… you won't take what I said seriously, right? I didn't mean it. Just forget it."
Finnick didn't respond. He just watched her.
