Rune Ranks & Ascension Correspondence

Runes represent mystical types of power bestowed at specific ascension milestones. Each major rank corresponds to a distinct category of rune, reflecting the ascender's growing authority over self, elements, domains, and ultimately cosmic laws.

Ascendant Ranks & Corresponding Rune Types

★NEOPHYTE RANK

Rune Type: Initiate Rune

Description: Basic awakening rune. Subtle, personalized abilities tied to personality, emotions, or fate. Divided into Mind, Body, Soul aspects.

★WARDEN RANK

Rune Type: Verdant (Elemental) Rune

Description: Grants affinity to a specific element or conceptual force. Strictly limited by the user's comprehension and mastery of the element (Elemental Comprehension Stages: Nascent → Adept → Artisan → Sovereign → Archetype).

★ARCHON RANK

Rune Type: Exalted Rune

Description: Higher mortal-tier runes that blur the line between mortality and true transcendence.

★CROWNED RANK

Rune Type: Transcendant Rune

Description: Bestowed upon crowned ascenders who have overcome mortality's limits. Represents genuine transcendence of mortal shackles.

★RULERS RANK

Rune Type: Mystic Rune

Description: Tied directly to the Ruler's personal domain (planet, star system, pocket realm, etc.). Acts as a conduit between the Ruler's intrinsic energies and the energies/laws of their controlled domain.

★DEUS RANK

Rune Type: God/Divine Rune

Description: Supreme runes possessed only by Deus-rank beings. These impose the bearer's divine will directly upon fundamental universal concepts (time, space, causality, fate, creation/destruction, etc.).

ELEMENTAL COMPREHENSION STAGES

Mastery of an elemental rune requires comprehending and giving meaning to the element itself through five stages. Each stage allows creation of powerful elemental spells called Arcane Elemental Series and Frames.

Stages:

Nascent: Basic understanding of the element.

Adept: Skilled and specific meaning.

Artisan: Masterful shaping of the element.

Sovereign: Command over the element.

Archetype: The pinnacle of comprehension, where the ascender has near complete control of the element through their meaning of the element itself.

Arcane Elemental Series & Frames.

These are the primary expressions of the elemental rune's forces in combat, creation, defense, or domain-level phenomena.

Arcane Elemental Series — Classified and numbered sequentially (e.g., 1st Series, 2nd Series, etc.). Each higher series represents a leap in complexity, scale, power, and conceptual depth.

Arcane Elemental Frames — Unspecified in detail; can be a 1st frame with sovereign-stage control.

[NODES: Activation of the "ARCANES". For series, nodes are drawn in the brain; for frames, they are on specific points in the body.]

HORROR CREATURES RANKS AND CLASSES

Horror Creatures (formerly called Calamity Creatures) have destructive tendencies toward all things, both kins and the cosmos alike. Their origins remain UNKNOWN for now.

BINDING SEALS

Binding Seals are planetary and universal pacts or contracts enforced by your existence.

They represent equivalent exchange: you impose a limitation, restriction, or condition on yourself in return for a boost in power, efficiency, a new effect, or to achieve a specific goal.

Two Primary Types:

Self-Imposed (With Oneself): Voluntarily placed restriction enforced purely by the ascender's own will, soul, spirit, or existence.

Mutual Agreement (With Another Party): Contract formed between two or more parties; the seal enforces compliance from all.

Most ascenders avoid powerful binding seals due to restriction of authority, irreversibility/danger, overuse risk, and hidden long-term costs that can become crippling shackles at higher ranks.

The process of generating binding seals is a hand-sign called "Añjali Mudrā" symbolized by joining hands in a prayer-like posture, calling upon the cosmos while using one's existence as anchor.

ARTIFACTS: RANKS & GRADES

Artifact ranks correspond directly to ascension ranks.

Artifact Ranks (ascending order):

Initiate Rank

Verdant Rank

Divine Rank

Every rank contains 4 Grades. The Grade indicates the number of enchantments the artifact possesses:

Grade 1: 1 enchantment

Grade 2: 2 enchantments

Grade 3: 3 enchantments

Grade 4: 4 enchantments

Higher grades = more powerful / more enchantments on the same rank.

LORE: Artifacts were originally created by the "Origins" using Runestones. Each Runestone contains one rune sealed inside it. Using an artifact often results in a binding seal being formed between the user and the artifact/runestone (with negative effects when activated).

Variety/Types: Armor, Weapons, Charms/accessories, Tools/utility items.

SOULBOUND ARTIFACTS

Soulbound Artifacts represent the absolute peak of personal ascension gear. They are true extensions of the ascender's soul — deeply integrated and inseparable from the bearer's essence, growing alongside the soul's progression.

Key Advantages:

*Shatter the four-rune/enchantment limit of conventional artifacts.

*Can accommodate unlimited runes, enchantments, or evolutions (as long as the user can comprehend them).

*No inherent binding seal penalties — integration is harmonious and symbiotic.

RUNE OF SELF

The Rune of Self is a unique, supreme divine-grade rune (associated with God/Divine Rank). It functions as a living, omnipresent administrative framework — a cosmic systemic rune embedded into the fabric of ascension. Supposedly implanted by the ancient Deus-rank ascendants themselves.

Primary Functions:

Prepares and administers personal trials.

Serves as the personal interface between the ascender and the ascension system.

Bestows artifacts.

Opens/activates ascension rituals.

Oversees and manages the entire personal ascension pathway of a Deus-rank being.

Only Ruler Rank (and above) possess subtle authority over the Rune of Self: they can create artifacts directly, pose questions to the Higher Intelligence (HI) of the Rune, and interact with its deeper administrative layers.

If an ascender connected to the Rune of Self dies, all bestowed artifacts return to the system.

ASCENSION TITLE CONCEPT

Ascenders earn TITLES as markers of their deeds (good or bad). These titles are potent essences imprinted on the soul, granting temporary enhancement when invoked. Titles are divided into four escalating tiers: HISTORY, LEGEND, FABLE, and MYTH. Enhancements last proportional to the ascender's soul or spirit strength.

RUNESTONES — ORIGIN, NATURE, & USES.

Runestones are small, crystallized fragments of condensed essence — highly purified and stable concentrations of power, typically harvested from slaying high-class horrors, ancient ruins, self-condensation by powerful beings, or primordial phenomena.

Primary Uses:

Upgrading & Creating Artifacts (core material/rune source).

Starting/Activating Trials.

Essence Extraction for Mundane pre-ascenders (in exchange for a binding seal that takes the user's current rank — a cheat seal for Mundanes).

DOMINIONS

A completely separate and parallel category of power, independent of conventional ascension and runes. Granted to select mortals chosen and transformed directly by the living Will of a planet itself. Dominion holders gain extraordinary authority tied to the planet's essence, laws, and energies — often planetary-scale powers.

BLOODLINES

Inherited or specially acquired abilities/powers tied to lineage, ancestry, or unique personal acquisition. Can awaken, strengthen, or evolve independently.

Types:

Artificial Bloodline.

Lineage Bloodline (traditional hereditary bloodlines passed through family clans, ancient races, or divine ancestry).

THE SIX CONSTITUENTS OF EXISTENCE

Every sentient being is composed of six fundamental aspects:

Shadow: The subconscious layer — hidden reflection and repository of all other aspects.

Spirit: The Will of an existence — pure directional force of intent, purpose, and existential drive. (Becomes actively usable from Crowned rank onward.)

Mind: Seat of consciousness, thought, perception, logic, and conceptual understanding. (Tied to the Mindscape.)

Body: The physical vessel — strength, vitality, resilience.

Soul: Core essence / spiritual nucleus — foundation of immortality and higher existence.

Blood (Bloodline / Vital Essence): Inherited or acquired lineage power, life force, ancestral memory.

Mindscape: An internal metaphysical space that mirrors and displays all six constituents as an integrated whole.

REALMS AND DIMENSIONS

A Realm has a creator or ruler who holds control over it. A dimension is a wild space in the cosmos with no clear ruler. (A dimension can become a realm when a sovereign or ruler takes full control.)

REALMGATES

Unnatural phenomena where planetary space distorts, forming passages to the Realm of Trials where horrors are caged.

Categorization: DEEP-[number] (e.g., DEEP-2 = CURSED RANK horror creatures).

Types:

Locked Gate: Mostly powerful creatures (often ANOMALY CLASS) that struggle against the planet's will.

Opened Gate: Spits out beast or monster class "carriers" to harvest souls and open the gate for stronger creatures.

BATTLE ART MASTERY

Battle Arts represent martial prowess where command over a weapon transcends mere technique and becomes an intrinsic fusion of body, mind, soul, and external powers.

MARK OF GODS

Marks or stigmata bestowed to ascenders of a Ruler Rank or Deus Rank domain.

Types:

★Blessed Mark: Granted by Ruler rankers (lesser gods) and Deus ranks to multiple ascenders in their domains.

★Loved Mark: Bestowed only by Deus ranks to one person. Those with a Loved Mark carry traces of the Deus's lineage or blood and subtle linked abilities.
