I moved to the side a bit to act like I was presenting someone named Herbert.
The Countess was in a red dress with wavy blonde hair. Her eyes were green and angled in a way which made her look like a hunter. She had a flowery smell to her and sucked all the attention of males wherever she went.
"Herbert, I don't want to play games right now."
It was usually disrespectful for a butler to talk to a royal, no matter the timing, so I just pointed to myself acting like I didn't know who she was talking about.
I hoped that this situation wouldn't happen but luck got the best of me.
I scratched my head, acting confused.
"You may talk," the Countess said with one hand on her hip.
"Ma'am, you got the wrong person."
"Hm," The Countess walked away.
As I was walking up the stairs I felt the Countess siding me.
I calmly walked up the stairs into a place where I couldn't have been seen. My heart was racing as one wrong move and I could potentially die.
After observing everything closely, I used the ledges on the window to climb onto the roof. If someone looked up, I could easily be seen. I gripped the pliers by my hips tightly and maneuvered my way up. After I was on the roof, it was all just about timing.
