"Eugénie, I want your brother here right now," Sofía demanded sharply.
Eugénie let out an exaggerated sigh. "I'm looking for him, Mom," she replied, heading off yet again in search of Dominique for the third time that day. At this point, it felt less like searching and more like hunting. The man was clearly avoiding them on purpose.
And honestly? It wasn't surprising.
Dominique had never been fond of weddings or anything remotely ceremonial but this was getting ridiculous. He had practically vanished just to avoid being a groomsman.

Even Alexandre wasn't in the best mood, moving around with a tense expression as he carried out the final checks.
Out in the backyard, nearly the entire pack had already gathered, waiting for the ceremony to begin.
