Chapter 47 - Chapter 46: The Unsealing of the Knight and the Queen’s Wings

Chapter 46: The Unsealing of the Knight and the Queen's Wings

The Occult Research Clubroom was packed, the air thick with the scent of Akeno's freshly brewed Earl Grey tea and the lingering, slightly chaotic energy of a peerage preparing for war. With the Three-Way Summit rapidly approaching, the reality of hosting the leaders of Heaven, Hell, and the Grigori was finally settling over Kuoh Academy.

Lucian Gremory sat on the plush leather sofa, his crimson hair slightly messy. He wasn't sitting alone, of course. To his immediate left, Tamamo had curled up, her nine golden tails draped over his lap like a luxurious, albeit squirming, weighted blanket. She was wearing a dangerously short kimono that kept slipping off her shoulder, much to her feigned ignorance. Standing behind the sofa, Yubelluna—dressed in her signature, gravity-defying purple dress—was gently massaging his shoulders, occasionally letting her generous bust brush against the back of his head.

On the opposite sofa sat Issei Hyoudou, currently showing Asia Argento a catalog of dumbbells, genuinely trying to explain the benefits of building core strength to the gentle healer. Kiba Yuuto stood by the window, polishing the hilt of his wooden training sword, while Akeno Himejima hummed softly near the kitchenette.

At the head of the room, standing behind her grand oak desk, was Rias Gremory. She looked at her assembled family, her crimson eyes softening with a mixture of pride and underlying anxiety.

"Everyone, listen up," Rias called out, her voice cutting through the ambient chatter. "Michael and Azazel have already sent their preliminary advance guards into Kuoh. The Summit is on our doorstep. We need our full fighting force available. Which means it is time to unseal our final piece."

Issei looked up from his catalog, blinking. "Wait, President. I thought Kiba was your only Knight? We have another piece?"

"We do," Kiba smiled gently. "The President has kept him sealed away for his own protection, and for ours. His power is... volatile."

"A Knight?" Asia asked, her green eyes wide with curiosity. "Is he a swordsman like Kiba-san?"

"Not exactly," Rias sighed, walking around her desk. "His name is Gasper Vladi. He is a half-vampire. And he possesses a mutated Knight piece, along with the Sacred Gear Forbidden Balor View, which allows him to stop time in his field of vision."

Issei's jaw dropped. "He can stop time?! That's amazing! Why is he locked up? We could use that!"

"Because he has absolutely no control over it, Issei," Lucian chimed in, gently nudging one of Tamamo's tails out of his face. He knew Gasper's lore perfectly, though he made sure to phrase it like he was analyzing the situation. "Time magic is a conceptual law. If a novice panics, their magic leaks. If his magic leaks, he freezes the entire school by accident."

"Exactly," Rias nodded. She paused, looking at her peerage, before her eyes settled entirely on Lucian. "Lucian, walk with me for a moment. The rest of you, head down to the basement of the old school building. We will meet you there."

Act 1: The King's Request

Rias led Lucian out of the clubroom and into the dimly lit hallway. The moment the heavy oak door clicked shut behind them, the King's authoritative posture melted away. She sagged slightly against the wall, running a hand through her vibrant crimson hair.

"Are you okay, Rias?" Lucian asked, stepping closer. He didn't use his Destruction aura; he just offered his presence.

Rias looked up at him, her eyes shining with a vulnerability she only ever showed him. She reached out, her hands resting flat against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heart.

"I'm terrified, Lucian," she admitted in a soft whisper. "The leaders of the three factions are coming to my territory. If Gasper's power goes out of control during the Summit, it could be seen as an act of aggression by the Gremory House. But I cannot leave him locked in the dark forever. He is my Knight. I love my peerage, and I love him too."

"I know you do," Lucian smiled softly, his hands coming to rest on her waist.

"I need you to take the lead on his training," Rias said, looking up at him pleadingly. "Issei is wonderful. He has the heart of a true hero, but he is thick-headed. If Gasper cries, Issei will just yell about guts and passion, which will terrify the boy more. Kiba is an excellent swordsman, but his training is too rigid for someone with Gasper's anxiety. I need you. I need your tactical mind, and your empathy."

She wasn't asking him because he was overpowered. She was asking him because she loved him, and because she trusted him to bridge the gap between strength and understanding.

"He's a shut-in vampire who stops time," Lucian mused, a smirk pulling at his lips. "It's going to take a lot of patience."

Rias rose onto her tiptoes, pressing her body flush against his. The sudden, intense heat of her proximity was a stark contrast to the cold stone hallway. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her breasts pressing firmly against his chest.

"I know you can do it," Rias murmured, her breath ghosting over his lips. "You stabilized your own Destruction magic. You handled Grayfia's training. You handle Tamamo and Yubelluna's... eccentricities. Please, my Bishop. For me?"

She didn't give him a chance to answer. Rias pressed her lips to his in a deep, desperate kiss. It was a bribe, yes, but it was also a profound expression of her reliance on him. Lucian let out a soft groan, his hands tightening on her hips as he kissed her back, indulging in the sweet, fiery taste of the Heiress.

When they parted, a thin string of saliva connected their lips. Rias was blushing heavily, her eyes dark with affection. "Get him ready for the Summit, Lucian, and I promise you a proper, uninterrupted reward. Just the two of us."

"You drive a hard bargain, President," Lucian chuckled, his heart racing. "Let's go unseal a vampire."

Act 2: The Boy in the Box

The basement of the Old School Building was cold and smelled faintly of ozone. The heavy iron door at the end of the hall was covered in intricate, glowing Gremory seals.

Issei, Kiba, Asia, Akeno, Tamamo, and Yubelluna were already waiting.

"Stand back," Rias commanded. She raised her hand, funneling her demonic aura into the central crest. The locks clicked open with a heavy, echoing thud, and the iron doors swung wide.

Inside the pitch-black room sat a single, beat-up cardboard box with two uneven eyeholes cut into the front.

"Um," Issei squinted. "Is he invisible?"

Suddenly, the box violently flinched. A high-pitched, incredibly timid voice squeaked from inside. "Eeeeek! P-Please don't look at me! The outside world is scary! I want to stay in my dark, safe box!"

Issei, ever the man of action, rushed forward and threw the flaps of the cardboard box open.

Sitting inside, hugging his knees to his chest, was a petite, incredibly beautiful youth with fluffy blonde hair, striking pink eyes, and a trembling lip. He was wearing a frilly, pink girls' school uniform.

"P-Please don't hurt Gasper!" the boy cried.

Issei froze. His brain short-circuited. "A... a guy? In a dress? It's a trap!"

"He is Gasper Vladi," Rias explained, rubbing her temples. "He prefers to cross-dress because he finds the clothes comforting."

For a moment, Issei looked completely devastated. The harem king dreams had taken a hit. But then, Issei shook his head, slapping his cheeks with both hands. He looked down at the trembling boy, his expression turning surprisingly earnest.

"Hey, man," Issei said, offering a hand. "I don't care what you wear. A dress, a suit, whatever makes you comfortable! But you're a man of the Gremory peerage! We gotta get you out of this basement and make you strong! I'm Issei, the Pawn! Nice to meet ya!"

Gasper peeked through his fingers, sniffing. Issei was loud, but he wasn't mean.

Asia immediately stepped forward, her maternal instincts taking over. She knelt beside the box, pulling a soft, warm blanket from her bag and gently wrapping it around Gasper's shoulders. "It's okay, Gasper-kun. It's very nice to meet you. I'm Asia. We won't let anything scary hurt you."

Gasper's pink eyes watered. "Y-You won't?"

"We're family," Lucian smiled, stepping up behind Issei and resting a hand on the Pawn's shoulder, silently acknowledging Issei's good heart. "Come on, kid. Let's get some fresh air."

Act 3: The Courtyard and the Queen's Wings

Ten minutes later, the Occult Research Club was gathered in the secluded back courtyard. The afternoon sun was bright, which was currently Gasper's biggest problem. The half-vampire was cowering under a large patio umbrella, hissing at the sunlight while clutching his cardboard box.

"Okay, Gasper!" Kiba encouraged, tossing an apple into the air. "Just try to focus on the apple and use your eyes!"

Gasper panicked. The bright light, the open space, the sheer number of people—it was an overload. His pink eyes flared with a violent purple light. "Forbidden Balor View!"

A wave of dense, heavy energy rippled out. The world lost its color. The apple froze in mid-air. Issei froze mid-cheer. Asia froze holding a cup of tea.

Lucian felt the time-stop slam into him like a physical wall. He wasn't OP. He couldn't just brush off a Longinus-tier conceptual law. He gritted his teeth, his glowing Red Eyes flaring as he desperately pulled on Grayfia's Silver Ice magic and his own Destruction aura just to keep his consciousness intact. He couldn't move his limbs, but he could think. He could feel the massive, uncontrolled drain on Gasper's stamina.

Four seconds later, the magic shattered. The color rushed back.

Gasper collapsed onto the grass, panting heavily. "I-I failed! I froze everyone! I'm a monster!"

"You're not a monster," Lucian gasped, catching his breath and leaning heavily against a tree. "Your output is just too wide. You're trying to freeze the whole world instead of just the target."

"Ara ara, perhaps the boy needs a different kind of motivation."

Akeno Himejima walked onto the grass. She had changed into the Kuoh Academy girl's gym uniform—a tight white t-shirt and incredibly short, dark blue bloomers that clung to her voluptuous curves.

Akeno didn't go to Gasper. She walked straight to Lucian. She knew she had already confessed her feelings to him, and she fully intended to take liberties with that knowledge.

Akeno stepped directly into Lucian's space, pressing her generous, soft breasts firmly against his arm. She leaned in close, her unique scent of lavender and ozone clouding his senses. "You look exhausted, Lucian-kun," she purred, her violet eyes half-lidded. "Trying to resist a Longinus takes a toll. Would you like to rest your head on my lap? I could pamper you."

Lucian indulged her, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her slightly closer, feeling the heat of her skin through the thin gym shirt. "That sounds incredibly tempting, Akeno. But we have a vampire to train."

Akeno giggled, a sultry sound that made Issei (who was watching from a distance) bite his knuckle in pure jealousy. As she pressed against Lucian, Akeno allowed her magic to slip just a fraction. From her back, a single, beautiful, jet-black Fallen Angel wing materialized, stretching out into the sunlight.

She stiffened immediately. Akeno hated her Fallen Angel heritage. She hated her wings. She tried to pull away, to hide it, a flash of genuine panic in her violet eyes.

But Lucian didn't let her go. Instead, he reached out with his free hand. He didn't recoil. He gently brushed his fingers against the soft, midnight-black feathers of her wing.

"They look beautiful, Akeno," Lucian said, his voice soft, sincere, and completely devoid of judgment. "Like polished obsidian."

Akeno froze. Her breath hitched in her throat. The teasing, sadomasochistic Queen persona completely shattered. A deep, furious blush spread across her cheeks, reaching all the way to the tips of her ears. She looked at him, her eyes welling with unshed tears of pure emotion. He didn't fear her bloodline. He thought it was beautiful.

"Y-You... you smooth talker," Akeno stammered, burying her face into his chest to hide her burning cheeks, her wing wrapping slightly around him in a subconscious gesture of immense comfort.

"Ahem!"

A terrifying, heavy aura suddenly descended upon the courtyard.

Tamamo and Yubelluna had marched over. Tamamo's nine golden tails were bristling with immense agitation, while Yubelluna's hands were glowing with explosive magic.

"While I appreciate the Queen's... unique plumage," Tamamo hissed, her emerald eyes glaring daggers at Akeno, "the Master's lap is already claimed territory. Kindly unhand him before I accidentally summon a fox-fire inferno."

"Indeed," Yubelluna added, stepping up to Lucian's other side and intentionally pressing her own massive, gravity-defying cleavage against his free arm. "If the Master requires rest, he has perfectly capable, highly specialized retainers to provide adequate cushioning. Queen Akeno's bloomers are terribly informal."

Lucian groaned inwardly. He was caught between a highly emotional, half-fallen Queen in gym clothes, a fiercely territorial nine-tailed fox, and a devastatingly busty Bishop. The ecchi tension was astronomical, and his mana was already depleted.

"Girls, please," Lucian sighed, though he didn't exactly push any of them away. "I'm going to die of blood loss before the Khaos Brigade even gets here."

Rias, watching from the sidelines, was furiously biting her handkerchief to keep from screaming. Stay calm, Rias. You are the King. Let them have their moment. He is yours tonight. Stay calm!

Act 4: The Strategic Solution

"Alright, enough playing around," Lucian finally said, gently extracting himself from the three stunning women, giving Akeno's wing one last reassuring pat before it vanished. He walked over to Gasper, who was peeking out of his box.

"Gasper, the problem isn't your power. It's your field of vision," Lucian explained. "When you look at the sky, your brain tries to freeze the sky. We need to narrow your focus."

Lucian turned to the group. "I can't do this alone. I don't have the stamina to build a permanent magical construct right now. I need your help. Issei, Kiba!"

"Yeah, man! What do you need?!" Issei yelled, instantly jogging over, eager to help his bro.

"I need a frame. Grab those wooden training crates and stack them around Gasper," Lucian ordered. Issei and Kiba immediately went to work, rapidly stacking the crates to create a small, physical bunker around the trembling vampire.

"Tamamo," Lucian called out. "I need an illusion. Coat the inside of those crates so that it looks pitch black. Make it feel like a cave."

"At once, Master," Tamamo smiled, her tails swaying proudly as she cast a seamless, dark illusion over the wood, making Gasper sigh in immediate relief.

"Yubelluna, stand by with a concussive blast. If his magic leaks out of the bunker, you blow it away before it hits the rest of us," Lucian commanded.

"Understood," Yubelluna nodded, her purple eyes sharp and focused.

Finally, Lucian stepped up to the front of the bunker. He took a deep breath, his red eyes flaring. He pushed his hands forward, channeling his Destruction magic, but aggressively forcing it through the mental filters of Grayfia's Silver Ice training. He wasn't building a whole room; he was just building a visor.

Sweat beaded on Lucian's forehead. His arms shook. He wasn't OP; manipulating Destruction magic into a solid, constructive form was like trying to sculpt with a blowtorch. Slowly, agonizingly, a plate of solid, dark silver ice formed over the front of the wooden crates, leaving only a tiny, six-inch horizontal slit.

Lucian dropped to one knee, panting heavily. The mana drain was severe, but the construct held.

"Gasper," Lucian gasped out. "Look through the slit. Nothing else exists but what you see through that hole."

Inside the dark, illusion-coated bunker, Gasper felt entirely safe. He peered through the tiny ice slit.

"Issei, throw the apple!" Lucian yelled.

Issei chucked the apple perfectly in front of the slit.

Gasper focused. He didn't see the sky. He didn't see the people. He only saw the red fruit. "Forbidden Balor View!"

The apple stopped dead in mid-air. The time-stop didn't ripple out. It didn't hit Issei, or Akeno, or Lucian. It was perfectly, flawlessly contained within the cone of vision allowed by the slit.

"He did it!" Issei roared, running over and high-fiving the side of the wooden crate. "Hell yeah, Gasper! You're a badass!"

"I... I did it?" Gasper squeaked from inside. "I didn't freeze the world! I'm a useful bat!"

Asia clapped her hands happily, tears of joy in her eyes. "You did wonderful, Gasper-kun!"

Lucian smiled, letting out a long, exhausted breath. He felt a soft, cool hand wipe the sweat from his forehead. He looked up to see Rias standing over him, her crimson eyes filled with absolute adoration and pride.

Without caring who was watching, Rias knelt down in the grass and pulled Lucian's head onto her lap. She gently stroked his crimson hair, a warm, healing aura radiating from her fingers.

"You did it, Lucian," Rias whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "You brought my Knight back to me."

Lucian closed his eyes, sinking into the incredible softness of her thighs, completely ignoring the jealous grumbling of Tamamo and Yubelluna in the background. "We all did it, President. We're a team."

As the sun began to set over Kuoh Academy, casting long, peaceful shadows over the courtyard, the peerage celebrated their small victory. Gasper had taken his first step, Issei was cheering, and Akeno was looking at Lucian with a depth of affection that went far beyond mere teasing.

But as Lucian lay resting on his King's lap, his strategic mind couldn't fully switch off. He looked up at the twilight sky.

The tutorial was truly over. Somewhere in Kuoh, a man with twelve black wings was sipping expensive wine, waiting for the Summit to begin. Azazel was here. And the Khaos Brigade was right behind him. The

real war was about to start, and the Gremory Wildcard knew he couldn't afford to lose a single piece.
