Sengoku stared at the screen in disbelief, his brow furrowed. "One hundred times! I remember the Super Saiyan transformation is a fifty-fold boost, but Super Saiyan 2 actually doubles that power again!" Garp let out a boisterous laugh, though his eyes remained sharp.
"So Super Saiyan is already a monster, and Super Saiyan 2 can actually stack another double on top of it? That's terrifying!" In the Hidden Leaf Village, Kakashi adjusted his headband, his mind racing with tactical calculations.
"No wonder Cell was helpless against Gohan. When your opponent's power level doubles instantaneously, there's no strategy that can bridge that gap. How could he possibly fight back?"
Uzumaki Naruto scratched his head, looking puzzled. "Doubling your power? That doesn't sound like a huge deal to me. Why does it make such a massive difference?" Uchiha Sasuke scoffed, glancing at his teammate with blatant irritation. "Are you an idiot, Naruto? When you're weak, doubling your power still leaves you weak.
Two times zero is still zero." Sasuke's eyes narrowed as he looked back at the screen. "But once you reach those heights, even a fractional increase is devastating. Doubling that kind of Ki makes you a god among men." From another world, Duanmu Yan nodded in agreement.
"It's basic math. If you double one dollar, you only have two. It's a tiny change. But if you double a hundred million, you get two hundred million. That scale of difference is insurmountable." Kurosaki Ichigo let out a long, heavy sigh, resting his Zangetsu on his shoulder. "I'm actually tired of saying how jealous I am. Seriously, why wasn't I born a Saiyan?"
This sentiment echoed across the myriad dimensions, a point of deep regret for countless warriors. They all watched the golden radiance with the same burning question: Why weren't they Saiyans?
Akira, watching the reactions unfold, decided to clarify a few things. "By the way, many people might misunderstand the Super Saiyan transformation. In this footage, we've seen it manifest in several distinct stages.
For instance, when Vegeta fought Second Form Cell, he utilized what we call Super Saiyan Grade 2. When Trunks bulked up his muscles to that bloated degree, it was Super Saiyan Grade 3. And finally, when Goku and Gohan stayed in their transformed states as if it were natural, that was Super Saiyan Full Power."
Akira leaned back, his eyes reflecting the tactical depth of the Dragon Ball world. "Many assume Super Saiyan Full Power is a stronger multiplier, or that each 'stage' increases the output. That's a misconception. Whether it's the initial transformation or the mastered Full Power state, the boost remains a static fifty times the base power.
The reason these stages appear stronger is simply that Goku and Vegeta increased their base power through grueling Gravity Training. Full Power doesn't give you a higher ceiling; it drastically reduces Ki consumption and maximizes endurance, allowing the warrior to fight at peak capacity without the strain."
Akira shook his head at the memory of debates he'd seen before his transmigration. Many self-proclaimed fans claimed a new Super Saiyan only got a ten or twenty-fold boost, and only Full Power reached fifty. What a joke.
Others thought the muscle-bound forms provided a higher multiplier, ignoring the fact that the loss in speed made the power useless. It all came back to the foundation: the base power. The transformation was just a lens; the stronger the light behind it, the brighter the beam.
"Finally," Akira added with a wry smile, "I have to point out that Gohan reached Super Saiyan 2 and saved the entire world when he was only nine years old. I'm already twenty and I can't even spark a bit of Ki. Is there even any hope for me?"
With those words, the video chronicling the Super Saiyan 2 transformation faded to black. The shock it left behind was palpable across the Wanjie Multiverse. They hadn't just seen a new level of power; they had glimpsed the terrifying technological potential of Earth's scientists.
Time machines and Androids with infinite energy made even the most advanced civilizations feel like they were playing with sticks and stones. They realized that despite three videos, they had only seen the tip of the iceberg of the Dragon Ball world.
In the Dragon Ball world itself, near the outskirts of West City, Krillin finally located Lapis and Lazuli. The two siblings felt a wave of relief wash over them. With Krillin there, they could find sanctuary in West City and avoid the dark fate of becoming Dr. Gero's experiments.
Even though their video counterparts possessed god-like strength and eternal energy, they had no desire to be turned into machines. The resentment their future selves held for Gero was enough to turn their stomachs.
Lazuli felt a flush of heat in her cheeks as she looked at Krillin. In the video, she had kissed him. She had seen him risk everything to protect her, even going so far as to defy his friends to save her from the bomb inside her. He had openly loved her.
Knowing that they might end up together made the present moment incredibly awkward. She didn't have those feelings yet, and seeing her future play out like a movie was disorienting.
"Cough... anyway, I'll take you both to Bulma's place now," Krillin stuttered, his face turning a shade of red that rivaled his Gi. "After that, I need to hunt down Gero." He sighed inwardly, thinking that since Lazuli had seen the future, she'd probably be on guard against him. As long as she was safe, he told himself, that was what mattered. Just as they arrived at Capsule Corp, a notification flashed across their vision.
Yamcha's voice broke through the silence via the chat: "Everyone, I've found him! I've got Dr. Gero!" In a remote mountain valley, Yamcha stood over the unconscious old man. Having learned the lab's location from Bulma, he had arrived just after Gero fled.
But since Gero was still fully human and hadn't converted himself into an Android yet, he was easy to track and even easier to neutralize. Yamcha felt a grim sense of satisfaction. In the video, Gero had nearly killed him by putting a hand through his chest. Now, the tables were turned. This was a bit of well-earned payback for his alternate self.
