Chapter 114 - 114-Infinite Possibilities

While some players enjoyed incredible luck and obtained powerful gear right at the start, others spawned in the desert and ran for extended periods of time without encountering a single soul.

Still others were fortunate enough to fall directly into the mines and discovered enchanting books hidden in chests.

Everyone's spawn point was completely different.

[Could it be that this world is entirely randomly generated for each player?]

Someone suddenly remembered the "Create New World" interface from the beginning, which nobody had paid much attention to at first.

Thinking back carefully now with all these strange inconsistencies, everything suddenly made sense!

No wonder everyone's experience differed so drastically. No wonder the world seemed so vast that borders remained invisible, no matter how far anyone traveled. It turned out that from the very beginning, this world was randomly generated for each individual player!

Combined with the title of this work, Minecraft, the implication became crystal clear.

Once this theory emerged, the communication channel fell completely silent.

Then a more intense wave of discussion erupted as everyone processed this revolutionary concept with shock.

[Is that really possible though? Can a designer actually achieve something like this?]

[This isn't just creating a dream anymore, it's more like...]

That person paused mid-thought, and then someone else completed the idea for them.

[Creating a real world with its own fundamental rules!]

Combined with the special world mechanics of Minecraft, where blocks could float in midair, and everything could be destroyed and harvested, a bold realization emerged.

This is something only divine beings should be capable of!

[After hearing your analysis, that's genuinely mind-blowing!]

[There was also a creative mode option at the beginning, but it hasn't been unlocked yet. I wonder what that gameplay involves.]

Alto hasn't unlocked creative mode for players yet.

[Wait, could it be that...?]

[Alright, alright, you speculation addicts need to stop guessing blindly. Let's focus on exploring how to actually play this game first.]

[No time to chat with you all anymore, I'm going mining. See you!]

[I'm going to search for a village too. I've been running forever and have found nothing so far.]

Boshita also discovered a village situated beside a river at this time.

The villagers here were surprisingly generous and had specifically prepared many supply chests for him in their homes.

He was so moved by their kindness that he accepted everything without hesitation.

After thoroughly looting the settlement, his notifications came flooding in.

[You obtained Apple x8]

[You obtained Iron Sword]

[You obtained Iron Ingot x5]

[You obtained Emerald x3]

[You obtained Iron Helmet]

[You obtained Bread x10]

He now had enough food, a weapon, and even protective armor in his possession.

He also swiped a villager's bed while he was at it for good measure.

Beyond these items, he found many hay bales near the village. He broke several down and tried crafting with them, which yielded a substantial amount of wheat.

After wandering around exploring some more, he found no other particularly valuable items worth taking.

There were also many objects that resembled crafting tables scattered about, but he didn't know what purpose they served.

His inventory was nearly full by now, stuffed with all sorts of random materials he'd collected.

At this point, he decided to establish a base first before venturing any further.

With the blueprints shared on the forum, many different structures could be constructed now.

He used wood to build himself a basic cottage that looked like a simple box.

Functionality and speed were his main priorities here. As long as it served its purpose, aesthetics didn't matter.

Then he prepared some essential supplies, put on his helmet, and got ready to set out on his next expedition.

After walking a large circle around the area, he confirmed that surface supplies were relatively scarce. Many materials needed for crafting items were minerals that had to be extracted.

Obviously, they were all located underground.

He remembered passing a mine entrance on his way to the village, so he headed straight in that direction.

He arrived at the mine entrance soon enough.

Pulling out a torch he'd appropriated from the village, he walked directly inside without hesitation.

Before traveling very far, he heard the telltale sounds of monsters echoing through the tunnels.

With an iron sword gripped in his hand, he wasn't naturally afraid and charged straight into combat.

The most dangerous among these creatures was a mottled green monster called a creeper, which would start flashing ominously before exploding after making contact with a player.

Boshita remained extra careful whenever he encountered one. The moment he spotted such a creature, he would immediately maintain his distance.

When encountering zombies, spiders, or skeletons, though, he would rush forward aggressively and swing his sword in rapid succession, each strike landing squarely on their vital points.

Within just a few hits, the monsters would collapse and dissipate into wisps of black smoke while dropping various materials of unknown purpose.

He continued pressing deeper into the mine system.

The tunnel gradually widened as he progressed, and a fork appeared ahead. He chose the left passage, which appeared smoother and more navigable.

Not far into this new tunnel, his gaze was suddenly drawn to a dark ore embedded in the rock wall. It looked like coal.

He quickly pulled an iron pickaxe from his inventory. He'd crafted this tool from the iron ingots he'd taken from the village. The principle was identical to a wooden pickaxe, just replacing the wooden plank material with iron ingots instead. It was perfect for the current situation.

[You obtained Coal x3]

[You obtained Coal x1]

[You obtained Coal x2]

After walking several dozen more steps, a patch of light brown ore appeared embedded in the rock wall.

[You obtained Iron Ore x2]

[You obtained Iron Ore x1]

[You obtained Iron Ore x1]

He dug downward as he continued, having no idea how far he'd actually traveled by now.

Suddenly, a section of rail tracks appeared ahead in the darkness.

He walked forward a few more steps, and the scene before him opened up dramatically. This was actually an abandoned mineshaft!

Tracks were laid across the ground and extended into the dark depths ahead. Minecarts sat nearby, covered in dust, and countless cobwebs draped the area. Everything suggested this place had been abandoned for a very long time.

There was actually a chest sitting on one of the minecarts.

After opening it, he immediately obtained eight rails, three loaves of bread, six coal, twelve torches, and, surprisingly, an enchanting book.

He quickly transferred the enchanting book into his inventory for safekeeping.

It was obviously something valuable.

Enchanting Book: [Mending]

Can be used for enchanting at an anvil.

He walked along the abandoned mineshaft and explored the branching tunnels. Many different ores were embedded in the rock walls flanking the rails. Besides iron and coal, there were several blocks embedded with glowing red spots.

Although he didn't know what this redstone ore was actually used for, Boshita mined it anyway since his inventory still had a little remaining space.

He continued to explore deeper into the system.

Diamonds, lapis lazuli, gold ore... as long as something looked remotely useful, he dug it all up without discrimination.

By this time, Boshita's inventory had become completely stuffed.

Coal, iron ore, redstone, gold ore, diamonds, along with spider eyes, rotten flesh, and various tools occupied every available slot.

His health had also dropped considerably from the previous battles with monsters.

He ate some food and then slowly watched his health regenerate back up.

He glanced into the dark depths of the mine, wanting to continue exploring further, but reason told him it was time to head back.

This mining expedition had been extremely fruitful and provided enough resources to significantly upgrade his equipment.

He decided to return the way he'd come.

Looking at the messy network of tunnels, though, he instantly got a headache.

"Where the hell am I?!"

Meanwhile, Alto was demonstrating advanced techniques to the development team employees.

Even though they were members of the team who had participated in creating the game, they were now watching Alto's operations with expressions of complete shock like total beginners.

He rapidly switched between materials in his hands while performing a dazzling array of operations. He placed observers, slime blocks, pistons, and various other components in specific positions with practiced precision.

While operating the complex mechanisms, he provided running commentary to explain what he was doing.
