As soon as they vanished, the space they left behind distorted slightly again.
Magic circles flared to life around the plaza. Crimson. Blue. Multiple sigils layered over one another.
In the next instant—Rias and Sona's peerages arrived.
The sudden presence of so many devils filled the area, their energy pushing against the lingering traces of the fallen angels' aura. The calm evening atmosphere shattered again, replaced with tension.
Rias stepped forward immediately, her eyes scanning the area.
She saw only Silas standing there.
Her expression darkened.
"They're gone?" she asked sharply. "Was it those damn fallen angels?"
Silas didn't answer right away. Sona walked forward beside her, adjusting her glasses as she calmly observed the surroundings, her gaze analytical.
She sighed lightly.
"I thought you dealt with them, Rias."
Rias clicked her tongue.
"Huh? I don't want to start a war over something this small," she replied, crossing her arms slightly.
Sona's lips curved into a faint smirk.
"I didn't think you would think," she said. "I guess I underestimated you."
Rias immediately glared at her. A small vein almost popping on her forehead.
She turned away with a huff. Akeno chuckled softly behind her, clearly entertained by the exchange.
She then walked toward Silas, her expression returning to something more focused.
"Did they take the girl?" she asked.
Silas nodded slightly. "Yeah," he said. "Guess a certain person can't keep quiet."
As he said that, his gaze shifted toward Issei. Issei stiffened. Then quickly looked away, pretending to whistle.
Koneko stepped forward without hesitation.
Bam
Her fist landed directly into his arm.
"OW—!" Issei shouted, grabbing his arm in pain.
"Snitch," Koneko said softly, her expression completely blank.
Issei crouched slightly, groaning.
"It slipped out!" he complained.
No one cared. Rias stepped forward again, her expression more serious now as she looked at Silas.
"So what now?" she asked. "You're going to get her back?" She paused briefly. "I mean… we don't exactly get along with people from the church but…"
Her eyes narrowed slightly. "You're not a devil, so we can't stop you"
Silas chuckled quietly.
"You're right about that."
He slipped his hands into his pockets, his gaze drifting toward the direction the fallen angels had disappeared.
"But don't worry," he added. A faint smile formed on his face. "I have something in mind."
....
The next night.
Silas's figure appeared high above the church, suspended in the dark sky as the wind moved softly around him. Below, the building stood quiet and still, but the energy surrounding it told a completely different story.
A barrier covered the entire area.
Faint, but layered.
Holy energy intertwined with demonic interference, forming a dome that pulsed subtly, distorting the air around it. Anyone normal wouldn't even notice it—but to Silas, it stood out clearly.
'Well, that's not going to stop me,' he thought.
He dropped down.
The wind rushed past him as he descended, his coat shifting slightly with the motion. The moment his feet connected with the barrier—
It shattered. Like glass.
Cracks spread instantly from the point of contact, spiderwebbing across the entire dome before it broke apart into glowing fragments that dissolved into particles midair.
He landed softly on the ground. The grass beneath his feet barely moved. He took a step forward, about to walk in. When a portal suddenly appeared behind him.
Crimson.
A familiar magic circle expanded outward before stabilizing. Silas didn't even need to turn. He already knew who it was. He glanced over his shoulder.
There stood Rias, Sona and their peerage.
All of them.
"Well," he said casually, "you guys must like stalking me, huh?"
They smiled. Well apart from Issei. Who just rolled his eyes.
Rias stepped forward.
"We thought you might need help with the fodder," she said.
Silas chuckled. "Oh no," he replied. "That won't be needed."
He raised his hand. They all looked at him in confusion.
Suddenly, it happened.
An invisible pressure gathered in his palm. For a split second, the air around them felt heavy.
Then—
BWOOOOSH!
A massive burst of force erupted forward. The wind alone was enough to tear through the space ahead of him.
It hit the church and erased it. The entire building was ripped apart instantly, stone, wood, and glass exploding outward as the structure was completely destroyed. Pieces of it were blown far into the surrounding forest, scattering like debris caught in a storm.
Silence followed. Dust and fragments slowly settled. Where the church once stood, there was nothing left.
Everyone behind him stared in pure shock. Even Sona's composure cracked slightly. Silas smirked faintly as he turned his back to them and began walking forward.
"Wait here," he muttered.
As he entered what seconds ago was a church, the structure above had been completely erased, but the lower levels still remained intact. The foundation and underground sections were untouched, hidden beneath where the building once stood. Broken tiles and debris crunched lightly under his feet as he walked forward.
The entrance to the basement was still there. And the moment he stepped inside—
Movement.
People in red robes burst out from below, rushing up the stairs and through the hallway. Their faces were twisted with fanatic intent, each of them gripping weapons—swords, guns, even crude holy tools—as they charged straight at him without hesitation.
But Silas didn't even slow down. He simply raised his hand slightly.
Snap. The sound echoed softly and in the next instant. They all erupted.
Their bodies burst from the inside out, as if something had detonated within them. Blood sprayed violently across the walls, ceiling, and broken floor, painting the entire space in red.
It rained down. Yet none of it touched Silas.
Every drop that came near him evaporated instantly, turning into faint steam before it could even reach his clothes.
He kept walking.
'Ki control really is powerful. Dragon Ball's power system is the most stacked thing ever. Wish they used it more,' he thought.
He descended the stairs slowly, his footsteps calm against the concrete.
As he reached the lower level—
Freed appeared.
The man rushed at him from the side, his face twisted in madness, sword already forming in his hand.
Silas didn't even look at him properly. He just swung his hand. A casual backhand.
The impact was instant. Freed's body slammed into the wall beside him with a loud crack, the force embedding him into it as dust and debris fell around him. The wall itself fractured from the hit.
Silas didn't stop. He continued walking past him as if nothing had happened.
Going further below. The air grew heavier.
He saw them, the fallen angels.
All of them this time.
Well… almost all. Raynare's presence was deeper below, hidden further in the basement. Standing before him were Dohnaseek, Kalawarna, and Mittelt.
Their wings spread slightly behind them, their expressions tense, no longer carrying the same arrogance as before.
They could feel it now. The difference in power.
'The whole gang this time… and their arc fodder. Great,' he thought.
