School Scene – Luna's Introduction
The sunlight was shining through the classroom window. Suddenly, someone opened it — a little girl, peeking outside. Her hair was flowing in the breeze. She took a deep breath and said:
"Oh little bird... will you be my friend?"
The bird flew away. The little girl started crying.
Just then, the teacher came and asked, "What happened?"
The girl replied, "No one wants to be my friend."
A boy opened his mouth and said, "She can sit with me."
The girl smiled and asked the boy, "Will you be my friend?"
The boy said, "I don't make friends with short girls."
She started crying again. The boy sighed and said, "Fine — I'll be your friend. But don't bother me too much."
The girl smiled.
Just then, the bell rang — "School's over!"
All the children started leaving the classroom.
"Goodbye, teacher."
The little girl walked out.
And there, standing in front of her — was Ariya.
Ariya held her hand and started walking with her.
Ariya asked, "How was your day?"
The girl nodded silently.
He said, "Let me get you an ice cream."
She ate it happily.
"Look — we're home."
Ariya opened the door.
Inside, Luni was cooking in the kitchen.
They both went in.
Luni said, "Oh, you're back, daughter! How was school today? Did you make any friends?"
The girl said, "Yes... one."
Luni asked, "Ariya, have you thought of a name for her? After all, she's our daughter now."
Ariya looked at Luni and said, "How about... Moon?"
Luni smiled, "Ariya, what about Luna? It's similar to my name — and she even looks a little like me."
Ariya thought for a moment, "Hmm... maybe you're right. Then Luna it is."
Just then, Luni picked Luna up and said, "Listen, from today your name is Luna. Okay?"
Luna said, "dad... look, I got homework from school today."
