Aello's body felt heavy as lead, her breath coming in ragged pulls that caught in her throat. Unnatural heat coursed through her veins, making her skin prickle and burn. She could do nothing but watch as the man dragged her across the cold concrete floor, his fingers digging into her arm as he arranged her limp form against the hard surface.
Her stomach lurched when he leaned down, his breath warm against her neck as he breathed in her scent. She twitched uncontrollably-every inch of skin hypersensitive, set ablaze by the drug flooding her system.
"Fuck, you smell divine," he growled, his fingers grazing the hem of her dress.
The moment shattered with a deafening explosion near the basement entrance. Dust rained from the low ceiling, and the sound echoed off the concrete walls long after the blast faded.
