THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW
"Thank God! Thank goodness you're well again, my dear!" Jackie's voice rolled through the foyer, warm and booming as she hurried across polished wood floors toward Aello, who had just stepped down the last of the grand staircase.
Aello wore a gown of deep red silk that fell close to her body, open at the back to reveal the curve of her spine. White stiletto heels lifted her height, and her hair flowed loose down her back-heavy, dark, and glossy. A diamond necklace caught the light from the chandelier overhead, and on her left hand she wore the wedding ring she shared with Psikh. The fabric of the dress was cool against her skin, foreign after months in loose clothes.
She smiled at the older woman, her shoulders easing. "I'm fine now-I can walk perfectly. Please don't worry so much."
Jackie nodded, then let her eyes move slowly from Aello's hair to her feet. Her hands came together in a clap of pure delight.
