THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW
Ten years ago, in the heart of the Amazon tribe's territory...
"Aello!"
Aello turned at the sound of her name, her face splitting into a smile so wide it made her cheeks ache. There, pushing through the thick green foliage, was the only family she'd ever known.
"Ishtar!" Young Aello chirped, leaping down from the tree branch where she'd been hiding-she'd spent the afternoon playing hide-and-seek with the other children, tucked away where no one could find her.
"Me écheis anisychísei xaná! Nómiza óti sou eíche symveí káti kakó."
("You worried me again! I thought something terrible had happened to you.") Ishtar's voice was thick with concern as she caught Aello mid-leap, pulling her close against her chest.
