"Fine. But don't blame me when the vehicles are full before we even leave."
Luna ignored the remark and reached for her phone.
"I should call Maya."
She glanced at the time before selecting Maya's number. The call rang several times before eventually ending without an answer. Luna frowned slightly and tried again, only for the call to fail almost immediately.
She stared at the screen for several seconds before attempting the number one more time, but there was still no response.
Thomas noticed the change in her expression.
"She isn't answering?"
"No."
Luna lowered the phone into her lap.
"Perhaps she's still asleep."
Richard nodded in agreement.
"She probably is. The last few days have been exhausting for everyone, and Maya has had even more to deal with because of the wedding preparations."
Luna's expression softened.
"She must be exhausted."
Thomas leaned back in his chair.
"Let her sleep, Mother. She'll call when she wakes up."
