"Let her wear those thick pajamas," he said, holding up a warm cotton set he had chosen for Takoda. "They're made from heavy cotton, so they'll keep her warm."
"Okay."
Dakota immediately pushed herself upright, accepting the clothes from him before helping Takoda into the warm pajamas. Once the little girl was dressed, Kade handed Dakota a fresh set of clothes, and she quickly changed as well before settling back against the pillows.
Satisfied that both of them were warm and comfortable, Kade returned to the bathroom and took a quick shower. After drying himself, he walked into the dressing area and changed into a formal suit, his appearance shifting from the relaxed husband who had just cared for his family into the composed Alpha everyone in Nightshade knew.
He had barely stepped back into the bedroom when the door opened.
