Without wasting another moment, they hurried to where Dimitri and Sera were still waiting inside the shopping mall's surveillance room.
Although it was already two o'clock in the morning, none of them had left since the search began. Maps, surveillance footage, and communication devices still covered the tables exactly as they had hours earlier, a silent reminder that no one had allowed themselves to rest while Dakota and Takoda remained missing.
"They've been found," Elena announced the moment she entered.
Dimitri immediately rose from his chair.
Sera's eyes widened.
"They're safe?" she asked, unable to hide the hope in her voice.
"They're safe," Elena confirmed. "Kade has them. They're on their way to Nightfall City."
A silence filled the room, one of overwhelming relief.
Sera closed her eyes briefly and pressed a trembling hand against her chest.
"Thank the Moon Goddess..."
